Effect of grain boundaries in LaSrCoO on oxygen diffusivity and surface exchange kinetics.

The single crystal and polycrystalline specimens of La0.84Sr0.16CoO3-δ oxide were synthesized and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction analysis, energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis, the electron backscatter diffraction technique, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

The efficiency and tolerability of using a new osmotic diuretic, i.e. polyosm (a solution of polyethylene oxide 400 for the intravenous administration), was studied in patients with edematous maculopathy of different geneses.

[The results of multiyear research on fish populations from reservoirs falling within the area of the Kyshtym accident (a review)].

The results of long-term studies of fish populations of various kinds from lakes polluted with radionuclides as a result of the Kyshtym accident are considered. The literary and own data on embryonic development studies with cytogenetic analysis, results of morphometric and morphological studies of fish populations, investigations of population structures by electrophoretic analysis of markers of structural genes were analysed. Critical comparison of the data obtained by the various authors in different years was conducted.

The structure of Dreissena polymorpha populations from basins adjacent to the Chernobyl atomic power station.

The genetic and morphological differences among seven Dreissena polymorpha populations exposed to various environmental factors in the water basins adjacent to the Chernobyl atomic power station were examined. All of the populations showed differences in gene frequencies at four polymorphic loci. The populations could be divided into two groups according to temperature regime at the breeding site.
