Purpose: Children develop social-pragmatic understanding with the help of sensory, cognitive, and linguistic functions by interacting with other people. This study aimed to explore (a) associations between auditory, demographic, cognitive, and linguistic factors and social-pragmatic understanding in children who use bilateral hearing aids (BiHAs) or bilateral cochlear implants (BiCIs) and in typically hearing (TH) children and (b) the effect of the group (BiHA, BiCI, TH) on social-pragmatic understanding when the effects of demographic, cognitive, and linguistic factors are controlled for.
Method: The Pragma test was used to assess social-pragmatic understanding in 119 six-year-old children: 25 children who use BiHAs, 29 who use BiCIs, and 65 TH children.
The human placenta exhibits a complex three-dimensional (3D) structure with a interpenetrating vascular tree and large internal interfacial area. In a unique and yet insufficiently explored way, this parenchymal structure enables its multiple functions as a respiratory, renal, and gastrointestinal multiorgan. The histopathological states are highly correlated with complications and health issues of mother, and fetus or newborn.

Responders with endoscopic estimated tumor surface shrinkage (ETSS) ≥30% after 1 cycle IC (IC-1) received a further two cycles of IC followed by radiotherapy (RT), whereas TL was recommended for non-responders. Arm B failed to show superior 24-month laryngectomy-free survival (LFS) and overall survival (OS), the protocol-specified primary and secondary endpoints.

This study aimed to (1) describe psychometric properties of clinical outcome assessment for Rett syndrome and (2) identify what is needed to ensure that fit-for-purpose clinical outcome assessments are available for clinical trials.
Methods: Clinical outcome assessments for the top 10 priority domains identified in the Voice of the Patient Report for Rett syndrome were compiled and available psychometric data were extracted.
The roles and responsibilities of radiation safety officers (RSO), medical health physicists (MHP) and diagnostic medical physicists (DMP) have evolved significantly over the past 20 years. With the availability of enterprise software systems and aggregated data platforms for various radiologic healthcare systems, the roles of these professions are expanding beyond their original scopes in managing the Radioactive Materials License (RSO, MHP) and Machine Specific Physics Testing (DMP). Workers in medical radiation safety are transitioning from siloed workers working within their specific disciplines as new emerging technology and clinical care require these roles to evolve.
