This current study examined the ovarian (OA) and middle uterine arteries (MUA) blood flow under heat stress conditions regarding hormonal status (progesterone (P4), estradiol (E2), and nitric oxide metabolites (NOMs) assays). Eighteen pluriparous cows were examined, with twelve only being subjected to the natural mating as the other six animals were not bred. Pregnancy diagnosis was confirmed at day 30 by embryonic heartbeat and CL graviditatis ( = 6; pregnant), but some animals ( = 6) showed early embryonic death (EED), with the presence of control cows ( = 6).

Article Synopsis
  • Canine parvovirus enteritis (CPE) is a serious viral disease in dogs with high rates of illness and death, making it crucial to study its spread and evolution.
  • The study focused on the risk factors for CPV-2 infection and the survival rates of affected dogs, using a case-control approach and molecular analysis to identify CPV genotypes in Egypt.
  • Findings revealed that unvaccinated and roamer dogs are significantly more at risk of infection and death, emphasizing the importance of vaccination and limiting roaming to control CPE and assess the global transmission potential of CPV variants.

The reproductive efficiency of dromedary camels is hindered by challenges such as early embryonic mortality, which may be attributed to a lack of synchronization between conceptus signalling and uterine receptivity. Understanding the intricate biological processes involved in feto-maternal interactions during implantation is crucial to address these limitations. Osteopontin (OPN) is a protein involved in cell signalling and adhesion, playing a crucial role in embryonic implantation.

Pyometra is a prevalent and severe infectious disease that affects the reproductive systems of cattle worldwide. This study's main goal was to investigate the biomarkers for oxidative stress (OS), adiponectin, leptin and neopterin (NPT) in cows suffering from postpartum pyometra. The study also aimed to determine which bacteria were most commonly implicated in the development of the disease.
