Simulation in medical education improves clinical competence. The Diagnostic Clinical Reasoning Program (DxR), a web-based simulated patient cases software, augments students' clinical skills in a virtual hospital setting. In the Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain, it is used to train medical students before they begin the clinical clerkship.

Background: Upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) is a common and potentially fatal medical emergency. This study aimed to investigate the frequency, causes, outcomes, and efficacy of endoscopy in the treatment of UGIB at King Fahad Central Hospital in Jazan, Saudi Arabia.

Methods: Between January 2017 and December 2023, a retrospective study was performed including all hospitalized patients with UGIB.

A novel index to predict the cost of green resilient buildings.

Climate change impacts the demand of the construction industry to reduce its carbon footprint while increasing the resilience of the buildings. This twofold need emphasises better understanding and cost prediction of green resilient buildings based on their 'resilience' and 'sustainability', which is very limited or based on obsolete perceptions and stereotypes. This study presents a novel index to predict the cost of converting a conventional building to a green-resilient building.
