The natural clay named Hangjin2# clay was used as raw materials and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) was used as organo-intercalating reagents to synthesize organic modified clay from acid treated Hangjin2# clay. The results of FTIR show that the modified reagents were intercalated to the layer of Hangjin2# clay. The meso-Hangjin2# clay was prepared with organic modified clay calcinated at 550 degrees C and the crystalline phase and morphology were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).

The study plots were maintained as upland fields for 5 years and the soils sampled in the second and fifth years were analyzed using T-RFLP (terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism) profiling and clone libraries with the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region and domain 1 (D1) of the fungal large-subunit (fLSU) rRNA (D1(fLSU)) as the target DNA sequence. From the 2nd-year-sample, 372 cloned sequences of fungal ITS-D1(fLSU) were obtained and clustered into 80 nonredundant fungal OTUs (operational taxonomic units) in 4 fungal phyla.

ApoL1 failed to induce ACD in autophagy-deficient Atg5(-/-) and Atg7(-/-) MEF cells, suggesting that ApoL1-induced cell death is indeed autophagy-dependent. In addition, a BH3 domain deletion allele of ApoL1 was unable to induce ACD, demonstrating that ApoL1 is a bona fide BH3-only pro-death protein.

The results are proved to be reliable by adding standard recovery experiment.

With the exception of OAT, which catalyzes a reversible reaction, the other four enzymes are unidirectional, suggesting that proline metabolism is purpose-driven, tightly regulated, and compartmentalized. In addition, this tri-amino-acid system also links with three other pivotal metabolic systems, namely the TCA cycle, urea cycle, and pentose phosphate pathway.

Here we report the cloning and characterization of a novel Bcl-2 homology domain 3 (BH3)-only protein, apolipoprotein L1 (apoL1), that, when overexpressed and accumulated intracellularly, induces AuCD in cells as characterized by the increasing formation of autophagic vacuoles and activating the translocation of LC3-II from the cytosol to the autophagic vacuoles. Wortmannin and 3-methyladenine, inhibitors of class III phosphatidylinostol 3-kinase and, subsequently, autophagy, blocked apoL1-induced AuCD.
