A series of characterization methods involving high-resolution X-ray diffraction (HR-XRD), electron channel contrast imaging (ECCI), cathodoluminescence microscopy (CL), and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were applied to calculate the dislocation density of GaN-on-Si epitaxial wafers, and their performance was analyzed and evaluated. The ECCI technique, owing to its high lateral resolution, reveals dislocation distributions on material surfaces, which can visually characterize the dislocation density. While the CL technique is effective for low-density dislocations, it is difficult to accurately identify the number of dislocation clusters in CL images as the density increases.

As a widely used water-based fracturing fluid, the performance of hydroxypropyl guar gum fracturing fluid is closely related to the degree of crosslinking, the quantitative characterization of which can reveal a detailed crosslinking mechanism and guide the preparation of fracturing fluid gels with an excellent performance. The bacterium is an exceptionally resilient opportunistic pathogen, presenting formidable challenges for treatment due to its proclivity for developing drug resistance. To address this predicament, we have devised a self-assembled supramolecular antibiotic known as dHTSN1@pHP, which can circumvent the drug resistance mechanism of and effectively combat infection by impeding the secretion of key virulence factors through the inhibition of the type III secretion system while simultaneously mobilizing immune cells to eradicate . Furthermore, dHTSN1@pHP was ingeniously engineered with infection-targeting capabilities, enabling it to selectively concentrate precisely at the site of infection.

The high transport characteristics of AlGaN/GaN heterostructures are critical components for high-performance electronic and radio-frequency (RF) devices. What represents a water source for the ecological restoration of a plant in an arid region is still up to debate. To address this issue, we conducted an in situ experiment in the Ulan Buh Desert of China, to study desert plants absorbing atmospheric water vapor. We selected Tamarisk, a common drought-salt-tolerant species in the desert, for ecological restoration as our research subject, used a newly designed lysimeter to monitor precipitation infiltration, and a sap flow system to track reverse sap flow that occurred in the shoot, branch, and stem during the precipitation event, and observed the precipitation redistribution process of the Tamarisk plot.

A sulfur-based biofilter enhanced by phosphate modified activated carbon as particle electrodes was constructed to simultaneously remove total nitrogen (TN) and estrogen from low carbon-to-nitrogen ratio (C/N) wastewater containing 1 mg/L 17-alpha-ethinylestradiol (EE2). Results showed that the enhanced biofilter achieved outstanding performance in EE2 removal (93.2 %) and TN reduction (effluent < 5 mg/L), demonstrating robustness against C/N fluctuations.
