In this study, pure corn straw was in-situ composted for better management.

YiaC and CobB regulate lysine lactylation in Escherichia coli.

Lysine lactylation (Kla) has recently been reported to participate in regulating transcription in human cells. However, the characterization, regulatory mechanism and functional consequence of Kla in prokaryotes remain unclear. Here, we report that YiaC functions as a lysine lactylase and that CobB serves as a lysine delactylase in the regulation of metabolism.

The effects of Xuebijing injection combined with ulinastatin as adjunctive therapy on sepsis: An overview of systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Xuebijing injection (XBJ) has increasingly been used for sepsis in China. We aimed to evaluate the methodological quality and summarize the evidence regarding the effectiveness of XBJ combined with ulinastatin (UTI) for sepsis from systematic reviews/meta-analyses (SRs/MAs).

Methods: From the inception to May 23, 2021, eight databases were searched to screen the SRs/MAs of XBJ combined with UTI in the treatment of sepsis.

Lacrimal sac lymphoma: a case series and literature review.

Aim: To study the clinical and pathological characteristics of the lacrimal sac lymphoma, which is rare but it is the major type of non-epithelial malignant tumor in the lacrimal sac region.

Methods: Sixty-four cases of malignant lacrimal sac tumors in our hospital from 1986 to 2020 were retrospectively reviewed. Eight cases of lacrimal sac lymphoma were carefully reviewed.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a complex, heterogeneous malignant hematologic disease. Although multiple prognostic-related genes gave been explored in previous studies, there are still many genes whose prognostic value remains unclear. In this study, a total of 1532 AML patients from three GEO databases were included, five genes with potential prognostic value (DLC1, NF1B, DENND5B, TANC2 and ELAVL4) were screened by weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) and support vector machine recursive feature elimination (SVM-RFE).

Discovery and characterization of the flavonoids in Cortex Mori Radicis as naturally occurring inhibitors against intestinal nitroreductases.

Gut bacterial nitroreductases are found to be heavily related with the intestinal toxicity of nitroaromatic compounds in food or medicine, which can be converted into mutagenic and enterotoxic nitroso or N-hydroxyl intermediates. Thus, inhibiting the gut microbe-encoded nitroreductases has become an attractive method to reduce the mutagen metabolites in colon and prevent intestinal diseases. In this study, the inhibitory effects of sixteen constituents in Cortex Mori Radicis on two kinds of gut bacterial nitroreductases (EcNfsA and EcNfsB) were evaluated with nitrofurazone (NFZ) as substrate and NADPH as electron donor.

Application of Model-Building Based on Arterial Ultrasound Imaging Evaluation to Predict CHD Risk.

Objective: Atherosclerotic is a chronic systemic disease that may occur in multiple vascular beds, including the carotid arteries, renal arteries, lower limb arteries, and cerebral vessels. Coronary atherosclerosis shares similar risk factors, pathogenesis, and pathophysiological basis with the atherosclerotic lesions of arteries at these sites. Arterial ultrasound assessment data were used to explore the correlation of atherosclerotic disease with CHD lesions and their severity and the number of lesion branches, as well as to evaluate its value in predicting CHD risk, in combination with traditional risk factors.

Integrative genomic and transcriptomic profiling reveals distinct molecular subsets in adult mixed phenotype acute leukemia.

Mixed phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL) is a subtype of leukemia in which lymphoid and myeloid markers are co-expressed. Knowledge regarding the genetic features of MPAL is lacking due to its rarity and heterogeneity. Here, we applied an integrated genomic and transcriptomic approach to explore the molecular characteristics of 176 adult patients with MPAL, including 86 patients with T-lymphoid/myeloid MPAL (T/My MPAL-NOS), 42 with Ph+ MPAL, 36 with B-lymphoid/myeloid MPAL (B/My MPAL-NOS), 4 with t(v;11q23), and 8 with MPAL, NOS, rare types.

This study investigates the effects of the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway (UPP) on porcine sperm capacitation and its interactions with the cAMP-PKA pathway. The semen of adult Landrace boars was divided into four groups: non-capacitated, capacitated, 10 μM/mL MG132, and 10 μM/mL DMSO groups. We characterized the parameters related to sperm dynamics using a computer-assisted sperm analysis system.

The alternating clinical manifestation of limb tremor with unilateral ptosis is rare.

Background: Thrombocytopenia post hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HCT) usually contributes to poor outcomes with no standardized treatment. Eltrombopag and romiplostim can be feasible for post-HCT thrombocytopenia, but the use of avatrombopag has not yet been evaluated.

Background And Objectives: Platelets are affected by many factors, such as infectious or aseptic inflammation, and different inflammatory states may induce either thrombocytopenia or thrombocytosis. Tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) is an important inflammatory cytokine that has been shown to affect the activity of hematopoietic stem cells. However, its role in megakaryocyte (MK) development and platelet production remains largely unknown.

Quantitative Detection of Gastrointestinal Tumor Markers Using a Machine Learning Algorithm and Multicolor Quantum Dot Biosensor.

This work was to explore the application value of gastrointestinal tumor markers based on gene feature selection model of principal component analysis (PCA) algorithm and multicolor quantum dots (QDs) immunobiosensor in the detection of gastrointestinal tumors. Based on the PCA method, the neighborhood rough set algorithm was introduced to improve it, and the tumor gene feature selection model (OPCA) was established to analyze its classification accuracy and accuracy. Four kinds of coupled biosensors were fabricated based on QDs, namely, 525 nm Cd Se/Zn S QDs-carbohydrate antigen 125 (QDs525-CA125 McAb), 605 nm Cd Se/Zn S QDs-cancer antigen 19-9 (QDs605-CA19-9 McAb), 645 nm Cd Se/Zn S QDs-anticancer embryonic antigen (QDs 645-CEA McAb), and 565 nm Cd Se/Zn S QDs-anti-alpha-fetoprotein (QDs565-AFP McAb).

Effects of follicular fluid exosomes on maturation of porcine oocytes.

Exosomes are related to effective communication between cells. In this study we aimed to investigate the effect of porcine follicular fluid exosomes (FF-Exo) on expansion, oocyte mitochondrial membrane potential, and maturation in culture. We used different concentrations of FF-Exo (Exo-0, Exo-1, Exo-10, Exo-20, and Exo-40) and added them to an oocyte maturation medium.

Detection of Ningnanmycin Using Fluorescence Spectroscopy Combined with BP Neural Network.

Background: Ningnanmycin is a new antibiotic pesticide with good bactericidal and antiviral efficacy, which is widely used in the control of fruit and vegetable diseases, and the excessive pesticide residues pose a serious threat to the environment and human health.

Methods: In this study, we used fluorescence spectrometer to scan the three-dimensional spectrum of ningnanmycin samples. We used a BP neural network to complete the regression analysis of content prediction based on the fluorescence spectra.

KIF11 Is a Promising Therapeutic Target for Thyroid Cancer Treatment.

Objective: To assess KIF11 expression in human thyroid tumor tissues and further evaluate its involvement in thyroid cancer.

Methods: The expression of KIF11 in 71 cases of thyroid carcinoma as well as corresponding tissues was detected by the immunohistochemical (IHC) method. Patients were divided into the high KIF11 expression as well as low expression groups based on the staining levels.
