The low satisfaction of fans' spectator experience, the weak willingness to continue to watch games have become the realistic barriers limiting the sustained and favorable development of Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA League). Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), this study clarifies the complex causal relationship behind the phenomenon of fans' spectator experience, explore the linkage mechanism between different influencing factors of spectator experience. Also constructs a variety of grouping paths to enhance the fans' spectator experience in the CBA League.

No drug is currently licenced for the treatment of intracellular bacteria. A new screening platform mimicking the host milieu has been established to explore phytochemical antibiotic adjuvants.

Using data envelopment analysis (DEA) and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), this study aims to examine the driving role of various factors on rural sports development and construct various grouping paths to improve the level of rural sports development in China. The results shows that the area of fitness venues and social capital participation are sufficient conditions for the development of rural sports in China.

A 3-dehydroquinase, AroQ, controls the third step of the shikimate pathway that catalyzes the formation of 3-dehydroquinate from 3-dehydroshikimate via a trans-dehydration reaction. harbors two 3-dehydroquinases, AroQ1 and AroQ2, sharing 52% similarity in amino acids.

Generally, most of the solar energy passes through the glass to enter and exit the building, but the traditional glass can hardly control the light and heat energy, causing the indoor temperature to change dramatically with the environment. Therefore, it is more urgent to develop green and efficient smart windows.

Nevertheless, its role in the onset and development of cardiovascular diseases remains elusive. This study was designed to examine the effect of Adipsin on survival, cardiac dysfunction and adverse remodeling in the face of myocardial infarction (MI) injury.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAtomic layer deposition (ALD) has been widely reported as a novel method for thin film encapsulation (TFE) of organic light-emitting diodes and organic photovoltaic cells. Both organic and inorganic thin films can be deposited by ALD with a variety of precursors. In this work, the performances of Al2O3 thin films and Al2O3/alucone hybrid films have been investigated.

Background: Lentiviruses are retroviruses that can infect and stably integrate into the chromatin of non-dividing cells. The purpose of this study was to determine whether lentiviral vectors containing the probasin (PB) promoter displayed prostate-specific, androgen-regulated, and persistent gene expression.
Methods: Three lentiviral-PB promoter/enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP)-reporter vectors together with a control lentiviral-CMV-EGFP, were tested by microscopy and flowcytometry for expression of EGFP after infection of human prostate cancer cells (LNCaP, PC-3, PC-3(hAR), and Du145 cells) and non-prostate cells (COS-1, HeLa, HeLa(hAR), and MCF-7 cells).
We have constructed a prostate-specific lentiviral vector based on the promoter of the prostate-specific antigen (PSA). The PSA promoter-based lentiviral vector has been used to deliver the diphtheria toxin A (DTA) gene into prostate cancer cells, and has shown promising tissue-specific eradication of prostate cancer cells in cell culture. To evaluate the efficacy of eradicating human prostate cancer cells in vivo, we used human LNCaP prostate xenografts in nude mice as an animal model and found that with a single injection of the DTA lentiviral vector into LNCaP prostate tumors, approximately 75% of the tumors (from three experiments; conducted 9/11, 11/15 and 3/4) in the animals were completely eradicated.

Insulin-like growth factor (IGF) I activation is modulated by a family of IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs). Although IGFBP-2 is one of the most commonly overexpressed genes in hormone refractory prostate cancer, the functional significance of changes in IGF-I signaling during AI progression remains poorly defined.

Infection of CD4- cells by HIV-1 is well documented, but the mechanism responsible remains a matter of discussion. Previously we modified an HIV-1 virus strain, NL4-3, by deleting the Env proteins (gp41 and gp120) and inserting the enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP), and found that the Env(-) virus infects several types of CD4- cells. Here, we have prepared Env(-) virus from both the CD4- cell line, 293T, and the CD4+ cell lines, CEM and SUPT1, and found that HIV-1 Env(-) virus from either cell type is infectious for both CD4+ and several CD4- cell lines.
