Tris(triazolylmethyl)amine ligands (TL) are widely used to accelerate the Cu -catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction, but its mechanistic role remains unclear. Using electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, we detected for the first time the trinuclear TL-Cu -acetylide and the dinuclear TL-Cu -acetylide complexes in aqueous solution. C 1s X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectra for three C fullerene isomers and related chlorinated species have been calculated by density functional theory (DFT) method. The XPS spectra show isomer dependence for the three pristine C isomers but not for the chlorinated species. The NEXAFS spectra exhibit strong dependence on the structures of all the investigated molecules and thus can be well employed to identify the three C fullerene isomers and related chlorinated species.

We developed a non-mechanical straining method to simultaneously modulate the bandgap and photoluminescence (PL) quantum efficiency of a synthesized molybdenum disulfide (MoS) monolayer on SiO, by vacuum annealing and subsequent quick cooling in ethanol. Influences of the thermal treatments at different temperatures from 100 °C to 600 °C on the PL and Raman spectra of the MoS monolayers are reported. A maximum PL peak intensity, twice that of the untreated counterparts under the same measurement conditions, was observed at the treating temperature of 200 °C.
