Accurately reconstructing the intricate structure of natural organisms is the long-standing goal of 3-dimensional (3D) bioprinting. Projection-based 3D printing boasts the highest resolution-to-manufacturing time ratio among all 3D-printing technologies, rendering it a highly promising technique in this field. However, achieving standardized, high-fidelity, and high-resolution printing of composite structures using bioinks with diverse mechanical properties remains a marked challenge.

With extensive use of natural gas energy, various gas accidents occur frequently. Reasonable odorization of natural gas is an effective way to detect gas leakage in time and avoid gas explosions. Therefore, it is necessary to realize the identification and concentration detection of natural gas odorants to ensure early warning without degrading the gas quality.

This article develops a novel robust control methodology for nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) to address the time-varying formation (TVF) problem. The methodology offers a concise yet efficacious technique based on the Lyapunov functional for more general one-sided Lipschitz (OSL) nonlinear MASs with external disturbances and time-varying delays. Note that most existing TVF controllers can only achieve formation targets under small delays, which significantly limits their performance.

In this work, membership-functions-dependent resilient hybrid-triggered (HT) passivity control is considered for networked fuzzy systems against deception attacks. To mitigate the transmission burden and enhance resilience to attacks, a resilient membership-functions-dependent HT mechanism is proposed that considers the properties of a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model. The presented HT strategy incorporates membership functions to generalize the HT threshold and weighting matrices.

Long-term exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation can damage human skin, resulting in photodamage. Repairing photodamaged skin has been a major focus of research in recent years. Extensive research has shown that human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (Exo) possess anti-inflammatory, pro-angiogenic, and wound healing properties, holding great potential for treating skin damage.

Single-ion conductor polymer electrolytes (SICPEs), which exhibit a transference number (t) approaching unity, offer significant advantages for rechargeable magnesium batteries (RMBs). These advantages include reducing parasitic side reactions from salt anions, promoting the uniform deposition of Mg during cycling, and enhancing the overall performance and stability of full cells. Despite these promising benefits, research on SICPEs for RMBs is still in its early stages, with many challenges remaining to be addressed.

Alcohol-associated Liver Disease (ALD) is one of the major chronic liver diseases worldwide and has high mortality and high incidence rate. microRNA-320 (miR-320), a highly conserved and widely expressed miRNA, has been reported to be involved in lipid metabolism; however, whether miR-320 affects the progression of ALD remains unclear. In this study, we demonstrated that hepatic miR-320 was significantly downregulated in chronic-plus-binge alcohol-fed mice.

is an important freshwater aquaculture species in China which has the characteristics of rich nutrition and delicious taste. However, the expansion of aquaculture scale, germplasm degradation, and other problems that have become increasingly prominent seriously restrict the sustainable development of the crayfish industry. Genetic improvement is an urgent need for the crayfish aquaculture industry, and selective breeding is an important way to improve the crayfish varieties.

Reactive materials can be employed to realize the integration of damage element kinetic energy and chemical energy damage, as well as strengthen the destruction ability of warheads. Among them, Al/Ni material has become a research hotspot because of its simple structure, easy process, and high reaction heat. In this paper, a skeleton-structured Al/Ni reactive material was successfully prepared.

The development of biomimetic cartilage constructs (BCCs) with natural extracellular matrix (ECM) microenvironments and topological cues to accelerate the reconstruction of natural articular cartilage (NAC) after injury is challenging due to its complex structure, low cellular content, and less vascularity. Inspired by concrete rebar structure, a biomimetic cartilage named "biological reinforced concrete" is fabricated, with collagen fiber orientation transitioning from parallel to perpendicular, replicating the ECM microenvironments and complex construct of NAC. 3D-printed ultrafine fiber networks (UFNs) served as a degradable "biorebars", while a hybrid biohydrogel acted as "biocement".

Autoimmune diseases are characterized by immune dysregulation, resulting in aberrant reactivity of T cells and antibodies to self-antigens, leading to various patterns of inflammation and organ dysfunction. However, current therapeutic agents exhibit broad-spectrum activity and lack disease-specific selectivity, leading to enduring adverse effects, notably severe infections, and malignancies, and patients often fail to achieve the intended clinical goals. Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) are multipotent stromal cells that can be easily derived from various tissues, such as adipose tissue, umbilical cords, Wharton's jelly, placenta, and dental tissues.

The pathogenesis of stress urinary incontinence (SUI), a condition common in women, remains to be fully elucidated. This study revealed that the incidence of SUI is associated with mitochondrial homeostasis dysregulation following oxidative stress in the fibrous connective tissue of the pelvic floor. SIRT1 is an essential factor for maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis; however, its potential role and mechanism of action in SUI pathogenesis remain unclear.

The pathogenesis of arteriovenous fistula (AVF) maturation failure is unclear. We evaluated the associations of wall shear stress (WSS) with subsequent AVF remodeling and clinical maturation using regression models in this prospective cohort study. Participants underwent duplex ultrasound at postoperative Day 1, Week 2, and Week 6 to measure AVF blood flow rate and diameter of the draining vein and proximal artery.

Acquired resistance to osimertinib (Osi) remains a major obstacle in the treatment of patients with EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). AXL elevation is a known key mechanism of Osi-resistance, and therapeutic strategies remain scarce. Emerging evidence reveals that an increased intracellular glutathione (GSH) level induces Osi resistance.

Background: Epidemiological evidence on the effects of air pollution on infectious diseases remains inconsistent, highlighting the need for further research and analysis. We aimed to investigate the relationship between exposure to fine particulate matter (PM) and ozone (O) and the risk of national notifiable infectious diseases in Shanghai, a megacity in China.

Methods: A double-pollutant model was used for each air pollutant, utilizing time-series analysis to separately apply single and distributed lag models (DLMs) to assess the exposure-lag-response relationship for 43 national notifiable infectious diseases (NNIDs) from 2013 to 2019.

Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) is a leading cause of low back pain, with limited effective treatments due to an incomplete understanding of disease mechanisms. In this study, we report that circFUNDC1, a nuclear circular RNA, is markedly downregulated in nucleus pulposus cells (NPCs) from patients with end-stage IVDD. CircFUNDC1 is derived from the gene encoding the FUN14 domain-containing 1 (FUNDC1) protein, which is essential for mitophagy and cell survival.
