Background: The Internet has become a crucial tool for learning, socializing, and entertainment for contemporary minors, and plays an increasingly prominent role in their growth. However, it has been observed that students are often unable to make good judgments about online health information and barely use the Internet to help tackle their health problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between electronic health literacy (EHL) and general self-efficacy among Chinese primary and middle school students.

This study aims to evaluate the role of TIM-3 expression on the cytotoxic and killing capacity of NK cells and its prognostic significance in AML. AML public single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) data were used to analyze the correlation of transcript levels between (encoding TIM-3) and cytotoxic molecules in NK cells.

Animal models are often used to explore different pathogenic mechanisms and therapeutic targets of MASLD. The aim of this study is to apply an artificial intelligence (AI) system based on second-harmonic generation (SHG)/two-photon-excited fluorescence (TPEF) technology to automatically assess the dynamic patterns of hepatic steatosis in MASLD mouse models.

Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR) technology faces limitations due to surface effects and sample homogeneity issues when measuring the protein content of whole maize grains. Focusing on maize grain powder can significantly improve the quality of data and the accuracy of model predictions.

The main findings were that adding probiotics increased the inhibition rate of α-glucosidase and pancreatic lipase in hempseed fermented milk significantly. Non-targeted metabolomic correlation analysis results confirmed that 14 substances, including three flavonoids, six amino acids and their derivatives, and five short peptides, were positively correlated with the hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic activities of hempseed fermented milk.

This study first analyzed the arsenic content in two different seaweeds and then used an innovative method to categorize the seaweeds into low-arsenic and high-arsenic groups based on their arsenic exposure levels. Finally, a non-targeted metabolomic analysis based on mass spectrometry was conducted on seaweed from different arsenic exposure groups.

Applications of starch-based films include food packaging, coating, and medicine capsules. However, a major drawback of starch-based films is their brittleness, particularly under dry conditions, caused by starch retrogradation and the instability of plasticizers.

The strain applied for fermentation significantly influences the metabolic production of aroma compounds, making the selection of strains to be critical for enhancing the unique flavor profile of the GAB in commercial production. In this study, the effects of two common commercial strains (SY, EC-1118) and two laboratory-derived strains (ET008-c54, NM-8) on the flavor profile of the GAB were investigated.

An in-depth investigation of the transcriptional characteristics of chicken can provide fundamental insights into its function.
Methods: We examined expression in chicken embryonic stem cells (ESC) and spermatogonial stem cells (SSC) and cloned a 444 bp fragment from upstream of the chicken transcription start site.
To investigate the dynamic complexity of chain-to-chain output decisions in a closed-loop supply chain system of cross-border e-commerce (CBEC), this study decomposes the system into four product-market (PM) chains, based on the e-commerce platform's information-sharing strategy and the manufacturer's selected logistics mode (direct mail or bonded warehouse). By combining game theory with complex systems theory, discrete dynamic models for output competition among PM chains under four scenarios are constructed. The Nash equilibrium solution and stability conditions of the models are derived according to the principles of nonlinear dynamics.

Firstly, the bit error rate (BER) formula of chirp-BOK modulation over a Rayleigh fading channel was derived theoretically. Then, the BER performance with different chirp-BOK parameters were numerically calculated.

Mitophagy, a cargo-specific form of autophagy, is specifically used to eliminate damaged mitochondria in autophagosomes through hydrolytic degradation following fusion with lysosomes. Recent advances have unveiled a major role for defective mitophagy in the etiology of DOX-induced cardiotoxicity.
