Materials And Methods: This study included 41 patients with iNPH and 40 age- and sex-matched normal controls (NCs). All participants underwent brain MRI.
Although disturbances in the gut microbiome have been implicated in multiple sclerosis (MS), little is known about the changes and interactions between the gut microbiome and blood metabolome, and how these changes affect disease-modifying therapy (DMT) in preventing the progression of MS. In this study, the structure and composition of the gut microbiota were evaluated using 16S rRNA gene sequencing and an untargeted metabolomics approach was used to compare the serum metabolite profiles from patients with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) and healthy controls (HCs). Results indicated that RRMS was characterized by phase-dependent α-phylogenetic diversity and significant disturbances in serum glycerophospholipid metabolism.

In this study, we observed that empathic interaction with a mouse experiencing pain resulted in decreased mechanical pain thresholds and anxiety-like behaviors in its bystander, though the underlying mechanisms remain unknown. We demonstrated that CD38 expression in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) was upregulated during empathic pain, and the pain and emotions of CD38 knockout (CD38KO) mice as bystanders were not affected.

Methods: Eight clean-grade adult male Landrace pigs (4-5 months, average weight 60-70 kg) were used to model burn-hemorrhagic shock combined injury. Serum samples collected at 0 h and 2 h post-injury were analyzed using metabolomic and proteomic measurements.
Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the efficacy of combination scalp acupuncture in treating post-stroke cognitive impairment.
Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted across eight databases: PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Database, Embase, CBM, CNKI, WanFang, and VIP, targeting randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published from the inception of these databases until October 24, 2024. The inclusion criteria focused on RCTs that compared scalp acupuncture with conventional treatments as therapeutic interventions for patients suffering from post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI).
Background: The fecal immunochemical test (FIT) has been widely used in colorectal cancer (CRC) screening, yet the practical performance of FIT combined with questionnaire-based risk assessment (QRA) remains undetermined. Moreover, risk factors for distinct CRC precursors identified in screening have been rarely compared.
Methods: This study was based on a population-based CRC screening in China, with 2,120,340 participants completing both FIT and QRA.
Gene expression levels serve as valuable markers for assessing prognosis in cancer patients. To understand the mechanisms underlying prognosis and explore potential therapeutics across diverse cancers, we developed CancerPro (https:/medcode.link/cancerpro).

Ninety-nine participants (volleyball players: n = 44, basketball players: n = 55) performed 40 m sprints for Fv relationship calculation, two COD tests (Modified Agility T-test and 505 test). A partial least squares (PLS) regression analysis was conducted to determine the relationships between the variables.

Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials and Clinicaltrial.gov were systematically searched from inception to June 2024.
Triterpenoid saponins are crucial natural products widely distributed in various medicinal plants, with Dipsacus asperoides being particularly rich in these compounds. However, the glycosyltransferases responsible for the biosynthesis of α-hederin, one of the primary bioactive secondary metabolites in D. asperoides, have not been elucidated.

The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between variant loci significantly associated with sports-related traits in the GWAS Catalog database and sprint/power athlete status, as well as to explore the polygenic profile of elite athletes. Next-generation sequencing and microarray technology were used to genotype samples from 211 elite athletes who had achieved success in national or international competitions in power-based sports and from 522 non-athletes, who were healthy university students with no history of professional sports training. Variant loci collected from databases were extracted after imputation.

However, the impact of crop rotation diversity on the complexity of soil microbial association networks and ecological functions is still not well understood. In this study, a 6-year field experiment was conducted to evaluate how six different crop rotations change the composition and network complexity of soil microbial communities, as well as their related ecological functions.

Herein, multi-chemoselective probes are synthesized and applied for profiling metabolites, including carboxyl, phosphate, hydroxyl, amino, thiol, and carbonyl compounds. This approach seamlessly integrates magnetic solid-phase materials, orthogonal cleavage sites, isotopic tags, and selective coupling sites, minimizes matrix interference, and enhances quantitative accuracy.

Aggregated autophagy (AA) has been recognized as a factor that exacerbates CRC progression. This study aims to study the relationship between aggregated autophagy and CRC using single-cell sequencing techniques.

In recent years, graph structure-based deep learning models have garnered significant attention in this field. However, these models typically handle drug or target protein in isolation and only extract the molecular structure information on the drug or protein itself.
