Purpose: To evaluate the outcomes of distal femoral, proximal tibial, and distal tibial physeal bar resection combined with or without the Hemi-Epiphysiodesis procedure and provide a better understanding of the application of physeal bar resection combined with Hemi-Epiphysiodesis procedure in the treatment of physeal bar growth arrest.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the patients who suffered physeal bar and underwent physeal bar resection with or without the Hemi-Epiphysiodesis technique during 2010-2020. All were followed up for at least 2 years or to maturity.
Introduction: Catecholamines such as norepinephrine or epinephrine have been reported to participate in the development of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) by activating adrenergic receptors (ARs). But the role of α1-AR in this process has yet to be elucidated.
Methods: In this study, ARDS mouse model was induced by intratracheal instillation of lipopolysaccharide.
Hedonic hunger refers to food consumption for pleasure without biological energy deficits. The Power of Food Scale (PFS) is a well-developed self-report instrument assessing hedonic hunger. The present study aimed to translate and validate the PFS into simplified Chinese (C-PFS) and examine its psychometric properties among Chinese adults.

Addition of the nitrogen atom of diphenyl -aminobenzaldehydes via NHC activation to imines leads to chiral quinazolinones with high yields and optical purities. The acidity of the N-H moiety was extremely increased through the formation of an acyl azolium intermediate, which was investigated by DFT calculations.

Autophagy is a conserved lysosomal degradation pathway where cellular components are dynamically degraded and re-processed to maintain physical homeostasis. However, the physiological effect of autophagy appears to be multifaced. On the one hand, autophagy functions as a cytoprotective mechanism, protecting against multiple diseases, especially tumor, cardiovascular disorders, and neurodegenerative and infectious disease.

The protein dpy-30 homolog (DPY30) is a core member of histone H3K4 methylation catalase and its dysfunction is associated with the occurrence and development of cancer. Therefore, the present study investigated the role of DPY30 in ESCA and evaluated the association between the expression of DPY30, the clinicopathological characteristics of ESCA and the tumor immune microenvironment.

So far, none of the models include immune cells. Therefore, an immune risk score was constructed to predict the survival of patients.

Background: As of 2020, 1 in 4 people in China is a domestic migrant. However, their lack of access to health care in destination cities has been largely neglected by the Chinese government until recently.
Methods: Drawing on data from the 2010-2016 China Migrants Dynamic Survey, this study evaluated the impact of a pilot program of the Equalization of Basic Public Health Services launched in 2014 and focused on place of childbirth, an important indicator of delivery care.
Background: Women are vulnerable to suffer from the common mental disorders like anxiety and depression during the postpartum period. Exposure to bisphenols, parabens, and phthalates has been linked to anxiety and depression symptoms in the general population. However, little is known about their impacts on postpartum women.

There is, however, no literature available if PLTs have a role in leukemia. It is significant for PLTs to play a part in hematological malignancies from a therapeutic standpoint and to have the capacity to serve as a prognostic marker in the evolution of leukemia.

We sought to establish a random forest (RF) model and evaluate its ability to predict RP in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) receiving moderately hypofractionated radiotherapy (hypo-RT).
Methods: A total of 106 patients with stage II-IVa NSCLC who received moderately hypofractionated helical tomotherapy (2.

Thyroid hormones are essential for fetal growth and neurodevelopment. The recent frequent use of parabens has raised concerns about their endocrine-disrupting potential. However, the effects of maternal paraben exposure on neonatal thyroid hormone levels are still largely unknown.

"Re-visits and drug renewal" is difficult for chronic disease patients during COVID-19 and will continue in the post-pandemic era. To overcome this dilemma, the scenario of chronic disease diagnosis and treatment systems was set, and an evolutionary game model participated by four stakeholder groups including physical medical institutions, medical service platforms, intelligent medical device providers, and chronic disease patients, was established. Ten possible evolutionary stabilization strategies (ESSs) with their mandatory conditions were found based on Lyapunov's first method.

Clinical guidelines recommend non-pharmacological interventions, including acupuncture and massage, for pain management in adult patients with cancer in adjunct to conventional care. However, high-quality evidence about the comparative effectiveness and long-term durability of these therapies for symptom management is limited.

We aimed to develop and validate an intraoperative hypothermia risk prediction nomogram for patients with colorectal cancer undergoing laparoscopic colorectal procedures. We conducted a prospective cohort study with 1,091 patients (ie, 765 in the training cohort, 326 in the validation cohort) from October 2020 to November 2021.

However, numerous genes in the baculoviral genome are non-essential for cellular infection and protein expression, making the optimisation of baculovirus expression vectors possible. We used a synthetic biological method to reduce the number of genes in a partial region of the autograph californica multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (AcMNPV), the most widely used baculovirus expression vector.

This study aimed to investigate the time-to-surgery (TTS) of Chinese T1 RCC patients and its influencing factors, and to illustrate the impact of TTS on the prognosis of T1 RCC. Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 762 Chinese patients with pathological T1 RCC that underwent nephrectomy.

To deconstruct the heterogeneity, we used baseline data from phase II of the Fangshan Family-Based Ischemic Stroke Study (FISSIC), and a total of 4632 participants were included. A total of 732 individuals who did not have any component of metabolic syndrome (MetS) were set as a reference group, while 3900 individuals with metabolic abnormalities were clustered into subtypes using multi-trait limited mixed regression (MFMR).

Delayed fracture union and nonunion are common complications of fracture encountered, while Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) can stimulate bone regeneration. Still, the underlying mechanism of LIPUS on bone regeneration has been poorly understood, which resulted in varied outcomes in the clinic. Therefore, figuring out the mechanism of LIPUS on bone regeneration can lay the foundation for better use of LIPUS in clinical bone regenerative therapies.

However, challenges in the genetic manipulation of the native producer, low level of accumulation in the farmed mushroom, the vulnerabilities of the farming-based supply chain, and the elusive biosynthetic pathway have hindered the efficient production of type II GAs. Here, we assemble the genome of type II GAs accumulating G.

There is an urgent need to improve and strengthen the coordination of vaccine supply chains in response to this severe pandemic. In this study, we consider a vaccine supply chain based on a combination of artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies and model the supply chain as a two-player dynamic game with inventory level as the dynamic equation of the system.

Background: The impact of birth weight on lung function and risk of asthma remains contentious. Our aim was to investigate the specific association of birth weight with lung function and the risk of asthma in children.
Methods: We performed cross-sectional analyses of 3,295 children aged 6-15 years who participated in the 2007-2012 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).
