Effect of cyclic meditation on anxiety and sleep quality in sailors on merchant ships-A quasi-experimental study.

Background: Sailors undergo anxiety and sleep disturbances due to prolonged journeys and the nature of their work on ships. Earlier studies indicate Cyclic Meditation (CM) being beneficial for managing anxiety and improving sleep quality. Thus, the current study was designed to investigate the effect of CM on anxiety and sleep quality among sailors.

Intrabony defect management with a bone graft (hydroxyapatite and β-tricalcium phosphate) alone and in combination with a diode laser: A randomized control trial.

Objectives: The current research was conducted to evaluate the use of a diode laser and a bone graft (hydroxyapatite [HA] + β-tricalcium phosphate [β-TCP]) in healing of intrabony defects.

Materials And Methods: In this split-mouth evaluation, 40 patients with bilateral intrabony defects were treated with, Group I (control) - bone graft alone (HA + β-TCP) and Group II, (test) - bone graft with a diode laser. The clinical and radiologic parameters of all patients, such as plaque index (PI), probing depth (PD), gingival index (GI), gingival recession (GR), and relative clinical attachment level (RCAL) were recorded at baseline, after 3 months and after 6 months.

The pyrazole ring carries four substituents: an N-bound 2,6-di-chloro-4-tri-fluoro-methyl-phenyl ring and C-bound amine, ethane-sulfinyl, and cyano groups. The sulfur atom of the ethane-sulfinyl group is trigonal-pyramidal and stereogenic.

Access to Diverse Seleno-spirocyclohexadienones via Ag(II)-Catalyzed Selenylative -Annulation with Se and Boronic Acids.

An efficient and straightforward synthesis of diversified seleno-azaspiro-2,5-cyclohexadienones from -(4-methoxy aryl)propiolamides using elemental selenium and boronic acids has been demonstrated. The reaction proceeds through silver-catalyzed oxidative dearomatization in the presence of potassium persulfate (KSO) as the oxidant. Further, this approach was extended to -(4-methoxy aryl)propiolates and biaryl ynones to access the corresponding selenylated oxospiro-2,5-cyclohexadienones and spiro[5,5]trienones, respectively.
