[Role of myoglobin in supplying oxygen to tissues].

The functional properties and role of myoglobin in oxygen-supplying system of tissues are discussed on the basis of literature data. The mechanisms of myoglobin participation in conservation and intracellular transport of oxygen, as well as its antioxidase, monooxygenase and peroxidase activity are considered.
