Extracellular O-GlcNAc is a unique post-translational modification that occurs in the epidermal growth factor-like (EGF) domain of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) lumen. The EGF domain-specific O-GlcNAc transferase (EOGT), catalyzes the transfer of O-GlcNAc to serine/threonine residues of the C-terminal EGF domain. Thus, EOGT-dependent O-GlcNAc modifications are mainly found in selective proteins that are localized in the extracellular spaces or extracellular regions of membrane proteins.

We herein report a patient with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who was treated with an EGFR-TKI for LM and cytotoxic chemotherapy for EGFR-TKI-resistant pulmonary lesions.

[Evaluation of Quick Chaser CD GDH/TOX, a Rapid Diagnostic Kit for Simultaneous Detection of Antigen and Toxin A/B, in Fecal Specimens].

For infections, highly sensitive rapid diagnostic test kits are necessary for prompt diagnose and infection control. In this study, we evaluated "Quick Chaser CD GDH/TOX" (evaluation kit), a rapid diagnostic kit for , using 65 clinical stool specimens, comparing with GE test immunochromato-CD GDH/TOX "Nissui" (GE test) and TECHLAB QUIK CHEK COMPLETE (QUIK CHEK). Background: Lateral lymph node dissection (LLND) for locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) is performed widely since it reduces local recurrence.
