The prevalence and aetiology of lowland endemic goitre was studied in Bawlle Village, Htan-ta-bin Township, Rangoon Division. The total goitre rate was found to be 40.9 per cent.

Protein content (total N X 6.38) of breast milk at 1 to 4 months of lactation was significantly higher than that of 7 to 12 months but there were no significant differences in milk fat, lactose, and energy among three stages of lactation.
