[Analysis on clinicopathologic characteristics of 216 primary extranodular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in head and neck].

Objective: To study the clinicopathologic characteristic of the primary extranodular non Hodgkin's lymphoma in head and neck.

Method: Clinical manifestation and the characteristic of clinicopathology of 216 extranodular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patients in head and neck were analyzed retrospectively.

Result: The age of thirty-one to sixty and seventy-one to eighty years old were more common age range in the group of patients.

Dynamic changes in phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity in oats (Avena nuda L.) during steeping and germination.

Samples from naked oat were steeped and germinated under controlled conditions in an incubator. Changes of phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity were investigated in oats during steeping and germination. Results revealed that phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity of oats varied with the difference in steeping and germination stages.

[Pathologic diagnosis of specific infections in upper aerodigestive tract].

Objective: To find a fast and simple method for detection of specific pathogens in upper aerodigestive tract.

Methods: Sixty-one cases of specific infections in upper aerodigestive tract encountered during a 10-year period in Beijing Tongren Hospital were retrospectively studied. Six histochemical stains, including PAS, Giemsa, Gram, methylene blue, modified Warthin-Starry and acid-fast stains were applied.

[Study on the distribution of serum homocysteine and on multi-stepwise regression analysis of the associated factors in the population of community areas in Wuhan].

Objective: To study the serum homocysteine (Hcy) distribution and characteristics in different sex and age groups in the community residents in Wuhan, and to analyse its associated factors with multi-stepwise regression analysis.

Methods: The population under study was from three community areas in Wuhan. Demographic distribution and the correlation with other risk factors of serum Hcy were analyzed statistically.
