Y-box-binding protein 1 (YBX1) is a multifunctional oncoprotein with its nuclear localization contributing to chemo-resistance in breast cancer. Through its interactions with various proteins and lncRNAs, YBX1 promotes cancer cell migration, invasion, and metastasis. Despite its significant role in cancer progression, studies on YBX1's protein-protein interactions (PPIs) remain limited.

The structural/surface morphology and topographical properties of the photocatalyst are characterized using FE-SEM-EDAX, HR-TEM-SAED, p-XRD, VB-XPS, PLS, TG/DTA, UV-Vis-DRS, BET/BJH and zeta potential analysis. The undoped heterophase mesoporous TiO monoliths with in-built lattice/surface defects exhibit visible light photocatalytic properties, successfully dissipating Reactive Brown 10 (RB-10) dye.

In this study, we investigated the role of Kp in the modulation of progesterone (P) synthesis in vitro. The primary culture of bubaline luteal cells (LCs) was treated with 10, 50, and 100 nM of Kp and Kp antagonist (KpA) alongside a vehicle control.

Material And Methods: The study was done among 25 histologically proven post-operative endometrial carcinoma patients requiring vaginal brachytherapy. All patients underwent both cylinder and ovoids application alternatively on weekly basis.
Background: The current standard of treatment for locally advanced cervical cancer is concurrent chemo-radiation with improved overall survival (OS) by 6% with manageable toxicities. The cisplatin 40 mg/m given weekly is the widely practiced regimen for 4-6 cycles concurrently with irradiation.
Materials And Methods: Two hundred and twelve patients with histologically proven squamous cell carcinoma of cervix with stages IIB to IIIB were enrolled between 2007-2011.
Purpose: To assess the outcome and response of transcutaneous retrobulbar injection of amphotericin B (TRAMB) in post-coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) rhino-orbito-cerebral mucormycosis (ROCM) and to establish a scoring system in guiding treatment modalities.
Methods: An interventional, prospective study was done on 82 eyes of post-COVID-19 ROCM from May 2021 to July 2021. A comprehensive multi-departmental evaluation along with detailed ophthalmic examination, laboratory investigations, and radiological examination was done.
Background: Addition of chemotherapy to radiation has improved 5-year survival by 6%. However, the optimal dose and schedule of concurrent cisplatin is not well defined, though widely accepted practice is the weekly schedule of 40 mg/m for 5 weeks. Repeated admissions for weekly cisplatin drain the limited resources in high volume centres.

This prospective randomized study is an attempt to assess the efficacy of two schedules of cisplatin in management of locally advanced HNSCC.
Objectives: The objectives of this study was to evaluate tolerance, tumour response and toxicities of concurrent chemoradiation with cisplatin in weekly and three weekly regimes.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the biocompatibility of composite powder consisting of silica and titania (SiO-TiO) for biomedical applications. The advancement of nanoscience and nanotechnology encourages researchers to actively participate in reinvention of existing materials with improved physical, chemical and biological properties. Hence, a composite/hybrid material has given birth of new materials with intriguing properties.

Conventionally, immunohistochemistry (IHC) is done to determine the hormone receptor status of the tumor. Immunocytochemistry (ICC) on fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) was carried out to determine the same hormone receptor status of the tumor.

We further dissected the role of ATF-3 and its interacting proteins (activator protein-1; AP-1) for TGF-β1-stimulation of MMP-13 expression in these cells. Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) experiment identified the TGF-β1-stimulation of ATF-3 interaction at the AP-1 site of the MMP-13 promoter in a sustained and prolonged manner in MDA-MB231 cells.

Materials And Methods: Sixty six patients were enrolled in the study with proven buccal cancers requiring radical radiotherapy, from 1990 to 1996. Radiotherapy was delivered using a combination of external beam and brachytherapy with preloaded cesium 137 needles.
This work is focused on sol-gel synthesis of silver and strontium co-doped TiO2 nanoparticles and their utilization as photo-catalysts in degradation of two textile dyes. Effect of pH, intensity of light, amount of photo-catalyst, concentration of dye, sensitizers, etc., were studied to optimize conditions for obtaining enhanced photo-catalytic activity of synthesized nanoparticles.

Carcinoid tumours of the appendix are uncommon incidentally detected tumours during histopathological examination following appendicectomy for acute appendicitis. Even though considered rare in children, they are the most frequently encountered tumours of the gastrointestinal tract. To our knowledge, carcinoid tumour of appendix in childhood has not yet been reported from Indian Subcontinent.

A 47-year-old female patient presented with bleeding from the left nipple since 4 months. Imprint smears from the lesion showed pleomorphic malignant epithelial cells in singles and in small clusters, many of them containing dark brown cytoplasmic pigment granules.
