The presence of antibiotics in wastewater discharges significantly affects the environment, mainly due to the generation of bacterial populations with multiple antibiotic resistances. The cometabolic capacity of nitrifying sludge to simultaneously remove ammonium (NH) and emerging organic contaminants (EOCs), including antibiotics, has been reported. In the present study, the removal capacity of 50 mg ampicillin (AMP)/L by nitrifying cultures associated with biosorption and biotransformation processes was evaluated in a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) system.

We present a retrospective analysis of 78 patients from 19 hospitals across Australia and New Zealand, treated over the last 15 years with "off-the-shelf" allogeneic T cells directed to a combination of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), BK polyomavirus (BKV), John Cunningham virus (JCV) and/or adenovirus (AdV) under the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration's Special Access Scheme. Most patients had severe post-transplant viral complications, including drug-resistant end-organ CMV disease, BKV-associated haemorrhagic cystitis and EBV-driven post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder.

A key pattern involves quiescent HSV-1 genomes sequestered in promyelocytic leukemia nuclear bodies (PML NBs) forming viral DNA-containing PML-NBs (vDCP NBs). Using a cellular model that replicates vDCP NB formation, we previously demonstrated that these viral genomes are chromatinized with the H3.

Microneedle (MN) arrays could offer improved comfort compared to invasive implanted or mm-sized needle devices, but such arrays are hampered by complex fabrication processes, limited mechanical and sensor stability, and/or cytotoxicity concerns. This work demonstrates the first crosslinked hydrogel microneedle-bioelectroenzymatic sensor arrays capable of biomarker extraction and robust transdermal continuous monitoring in artificial interstitial fluid for 10 days.

Objective: Socio-economic conditions are one of the critical factors of the health of pregnant women. However, precariousness remains poorly defined and detected by general practitioners because too few tools adapted to private practice are available. General practitioners, as the first point of contact for these patients and often the future doctors of the children to come, take charge of them or refer them to other practitioners.

OroSEP is an independent patient-support program (PSP) in France for patients with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) receiving oral disease-modifying therapies.
Methods: TEC-ADHERE (NCT04221191; 08/19/2019-09/15/2022) was a prospective, non-interventional, phase 4 study to assess the effect of OroSEP on persistence and adherence to dimethyl fumarate (DMF; Tecfidera™) in patients with RRMS.
Background: Congenital ichthyoses (CI) comprise a heterogeneous group of genetic diseases requiring lifelong treatment and having a major effect on quality of life. Conventional treatments reduce scaling and skin discomfort; however, they usually have little or no effect on erythema and pruritus. The identification of cytokine alterations in CI raised the possibility of repurposing available biologics.

We reviewed the epidemiological, clinical, microbiological and therapeutic data of cutaneous diphtheria cases, in adult patients living in metropolitan France with a skin sample positive for corynebacteria of the complex between 2018 and 2022.

However, no large-scale study has been able to demonstrate the superiority of this choice on hard clinical criteria such as morbimortality.
Methods And Results: This retrospective observational study included all patients who received a primary pacemaker implantation in the indication of complete AVB with underlying sinus rhythm in France, based on the national administrative database between January 2013 and December 2022.

With the objective of extracting new knowledge about rare diseases from social media messages, we evaluated three models on a Named Entity Recognition (NER) task, consisting of extracting phenotypes and treatments from social media messages. We trained the three models on a dataset with social media messages about Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies and more common diseases. This preliminary study revealed that CamemBERT and CamemBERT-bio exhibit similar performance on social media testimonials, slightly outperforming DrBERT.

However, current supervised methods are limited to specific center's learnings and depend on registration precision. The aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of unsupervised and supervised approaches in the context of prostate MRI-to-CT generation for radiotherapy dose calculation.

The monomers are connected through random springs with independent and identically distributed elastic constants drawn from p(k)∼k^{μ-1} for k→0. When μ>1, the scaling of the standard Edwards-Wilkinson model is recovered.

Despite substantial advances, MM remains incurable, and management involves cycles of treatment response, disease relapse, and further therapy. Currently, evidence to support the therapeutic decision is limited.

Several clinical, biological, and imaging parameters may be used to establish a relative disease prognosis but none is able to predict early efficacy or toxicities. We investigated expression levels for mRNA and miRNA involved in radiosensitivity and tumor progression searching for correlations related to patient outcome during LuPRRT therapy.

Methods: Response rate, progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and safety were assessed.
Results: Among the 184 patients initiating belantamab mafodotin treatment, the overall response rate was 32.
Background: Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy with Lu-DOTATATE is a recognized option for treating neuroendocrine tumors and has few toxicities, except for the kidneys and bone marrow. The bone marrow dose is generally derived from a SPECT/CT image-based method with four timepoints or from a blood-based method with up to 9 timepoints, but there is still no reference method. This retrospective single-center study on the same cohort of patients compared the calculated bone marrow dose administered with both methods using mono, bi- or tri-exponential models.

We seek to know whether the dynamics of urban and interurban development (notably built-up and transport infrastructures) lead to a spatially integrated implementation of biodiversity offsets taking into account local characteristics and areas under pressure from land artificialization. Our main finding reveals that the majority of ecological offsets are generated by projects related to transport infrastructures (38%) and urban planning and construction projects (23%).
