Background: Diabetes mellitus, a chronic metabolic disorder affecting millions worldwide, is associated with microvascular complications, including diabetic retinopathy (DR) and periodontitis. Understanding their interrelationship is crucial for comprehensive patient care.

Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to investigate the association between DR and periodontitis in patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

Natural nanocarriers present in biological systems have inspired researchers to design unique delivery systems through biomimicry.

Electrochemical immunosensor based on titanium dioxide grafted MXene for EpCAM antigen detection.

This study proposes the fabrication of a highly sensitive electrochemical immunosensor for label-free detection of EpCAM antigen. MXenes, novel 2D materials have become popular owing to their unique electrochemical properties. Unlike conventional immunosensors, which are unable to detect the carcinoma at primary stage and also time consuming, the use of highly conducting MXene provides a label-free and highly sensitive immunosensor.

Rare cause of stroke in young: Iron deficiency anemia and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is a well-known cause of stroke in children, but its association is relatively rare in adults. We describe a case of 36-year-old woman, a known diabetes mellitus, who presented with recurrent vomiting, headache, and altered sensorium. Investigations revealed severe iron deficiency anemia, thrombocytosis, and ketoacidosis.

Cardiovascular complications in patients with end stage renal disease on maintenance haemodialysis.
