Objectives: Examine the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effects of the Telephone Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Intervention for Caregivers (TACTICs) on dementia caregivers' anxiety, depression, caregiver burden, suffering, and anticipatory grief.

Method: A 2-arm pilot randomized trial with dementia caregivers ≥ 21 years old with clinically elevated anxiety or anxiety-related functional interference. Two cohorts were recruited at the beginning and end of the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Introduction: Fahr disease and Fahr syndrome represent clinical entities that result in diffuse intracranial brain calcification, either by way of genetic mutation in the case of the former or by secondary endocrine dysfunction in the latter.

Case Report: We present a case of a middle-aged male with undiagnosed Fahr syndrome, identified during evaluation for symptoms of an acute posterior circulation cerebrovascular accident.

Conclusion: Fahr syndrome is a clinical constellation of symptoms and radiographic findings often seen in late-stage hypoparathyroidism.

Introduction: Our goal was to compare outcomes of adrenalectomy performed by low-volume and high-volume academic urologists with extensive experience in renal surgery.

Methods: A single-center retrospective review identified patients undergoing adrenalectomy by urologists from 2009 to 2023. Data were gathered on demographics, tumor characteristics, surgeon volume, surgical outcomes including length of procedure, estimated blood loss, length of stay, and complications identified by the Clavien-Dindo complication classification system.

Healthcare Utilization in Pediatric Cancer Patients Near the End-of-Life.

Describe the healthcare utilization in the last 60 days of life in pediatric patients with cancer who died at home under hospice care and those that died in the hospital. Retrospective chart review of the medical records of those children with cancer diagnosis with palliative care consult and died either under hospice care at home or in the hospital. Patients dying under hospice care spent a median of 44 days at home.

Successful Treatment of Idiopathic, Intractable Hiccups With Prescriptive Positive Pressure Ventilation-A Case Report.

A 65-year-old male patient presenting with idiopathic, intractable hiccups was to undergo bilateral thoracotomies for phrenic nerve stimulator placement but initially underwent a treatment utilizing the administration of prescriptive positive pressure ventilation as a less invasive treatment option and had successful resolution of hiccups. The patient's hiccups began after a prior hiatal hernia repair and was refractory to pharmacologic treatment and phrenic nerve blocks. Utilizing neuromuscular blockade for diaphragm paralysis and administering three vital capacity breaths to peak inspiratory pressures of 25 cm H2O via endotracheal tube, the patient had successful resolution of symptoms and further surgical intervention was not warranted.

Here we sought to examine long-term survival outcomes of patients with upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) following radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) when stratified by race.

Methods: A multicenter retrospective analysis using the ROBUUST (ROBotic surgery for Upper tract Urothelial cancer Study) registry identified patients undergoing RNU for UTUC between 2015 and 2022 at 12 centers across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

This study aimed to evaluate the utilization of drugs with pharmacogenomic guidelines (PGx-drugs) for personalized dosing in pediatric leukemia.
