Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common metabolic/ endocrine disorder seen predominantly in women in their reproductive age, which increases the risk of infertility, endometrial cancer and metabolic disorders. IL-27 and IL-38 are recently discovered, novel anti-inflammatory cytokines whose role in immune-endocrine dysfunction seen in PCOS is largely unknown.

Methods: In the present study, we quantified these two cytokines along with markers for meta-inflammation (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, IL-1Ra, IL-10 and TGF-β) and hormonal dysregulation (insulin, leptin, adiponectin, FGF-21, testosterone and DHEA-S) in the serum of PCOS women (n=44), along with age matched controls (n=20), by ELISA.

Pulsatile Tinnitus Due to a Large Mastoid Emissary Vein: Successfully Managed with Percutaneous Embolization in a Novel Approach.

Herein, we report a case of persistent pulsatile tinnitus with dilated MEV managed successfully with percutaneous coiling of MEV in a 36 years male.

Two reviewers independently performed an electronic search in four databases along with the reference lists of the included articles.

In this work, we have studied the probiotic attributes of ten yeast isolates isolated from different traditionally fermented foods and products.

Ovarian Plasmablastic Lymphoma Posing Diagnostic Dilemma: A Rare Case Report.

Plasmablastic lymphoma (PBL) is a rare, aggressive lymphoma with no definite standard of care with a poor outcome. It occurs predominantly in HIV-infected individuals and is frequently seen in extranodal sites. The important differential diagnosis for this PBL is plasmablastic myeloma, where clinical and histopathological features are often ambiguous, rendering the correct diagnosis difficult without complete integration of clinical, morphological, phenotypic, and molecular features.

Materials And Methods: Mandibular premolars were cleaned and shaped up to F3 Protaper gold rotary files, after which they were subjected to five experimental conditions - group I - neutral saline as negative control, group II - 3% NaOCl solution, group III - 5% NaOCl solution, group IV - 3% intracanal-heated NaOCl solution, and group V - 5% intracanal-heated NaOCl solution. Following this, the microhardness of radicular dentin at 100 µm and 300 µm from the canal lumen and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic analysis were performed.

Agreement of a Novel Artificial Intelligence Software With Optical Coherence Tomography and Manual Grading of the Optic Disc in Glaucoma.

Prcis: The offline artificial intelligence (AI) on a smartphone-based fundus camera shows good agreement and correlation with the vertical cup-to-disc ratio (vCDR) from the spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and manual grading by experts.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to assess the agreement of vCDR measured by a new AI software from optic disc images obtained using a validated smartphone-based imaging device, with SD-OCT vCDR measurements, and manual grading by experts on a stereoscopic fundus camera.

Methods: In a prospective, cross-sectional study, participants above 18 years (Glaucoma and normal) underwent a dilated fundus evaluation, followed by optic disc imaging including a 42-degree monoscopic disc-centered image (Remidio NM-FOP-10), a 30-degree stereoscopic disc-centered image (Kowa nonmyd WX-3D desktop fundus camera), and disc analysis (Cirrus SD-OCT).
