Objective: To explore the robustness of the patient-sharing network and validate the association between strength and persistence of physicians' relationships in China.

Design, Setting And Participants: We conducted a patient-sharing network analysis to describe the persistence of patient-sharing relationships and logistic regression to analyse factors associating with the persistence of patient-sharing relationships in the Yinzhou Health Information System from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2018; all outpatient records that had a hypertension diagnosis were included in this study.

Outcome Measures: The persistence ratio was defined as the proportion of the patient-sharing relationships in a given year that continued to exist in the following year, the 1-, 2- and 3-year persistence to test the robustness of the findings.

The ethane-to-aromatics (ETA) mechanisms on Zn-modified FAU have been studied by a two-layer ONIOM approach. The ETA process contains two stages: ethane to ethylene (ethane dehydrogenation) and ethylene to aromatics (ethylene aromatization). Two models, (Zn-O-Zn) and (O-Zn-O), are used as catalytic centers in the Zn-FAU.

Background: Dental treatments, especially invasive procedures, often induce anxiety and fear, impacting future treatment adherence. Music intervention, a non-pharmacological approach, has shown promise in reducing anxiety and enhancing well-being, but further research is needed to explore its application in dental settings and the influence of factors like music type, duration, and volume.

Objective: To assess the effects of music interventions on dental anxiety and fear, analyze research trends, and identify knowledge gaps through a bibliometric analysis of randomized controlled trials.

The widespread application of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in wastewater and gas treatment has created an increasing demand for accurate and rapid assessment of their BET specific surface area. However, experimental methods for acquiring sufficient statistical data are often costly and time-consuming. Therefore, this study proposes a dual-stage stacking model with Gaussian mixture model-virtual sample generation (GMM-VSG) technology for the BET specific surface area prediction.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) exhibits a high incidence globally, with the liver being the most common site of distant metastasis. At the time of diagnosis, 20-30% of CRC patients already present with liver metastases. Colorectal liver metastasis (CRLM) is a major cause of mortality among CRC patients.

Background: Pituitary adenomas (PAs) present with clinical features such as neuroendocrine abnormalities and mass effects, common in the general morbidity population. However, in elderly patients, the disease progression renders some clinical features difficult to detect and identify in time. Consequently, elderly patients with PAs are often not identified and receive sufficient intervention on time to achieve a satisfactory outcome.

Biological lubricating materials play a crucial role in normal human activities due to their extremely low coefficients of friction (COFs). However, synthetic friction materials typically exhibit higher friction coefficients and wear rates compared to natural lubricating materials. To address this issue, we propose a novel lubrication strategy: reducing the friction coefficient of synthetic lubricating materials through supramolecular dynamic exchange.

This paper studies the asynchronous output feedback control and H synchronization problems for a class of continuous-time stochastic hidden semi-Markov jump neural networks (SMJNNs) affected by actuator saturation. Initially, a novel neural networks (NNs) model is constructed, incorporating semi-Markov process (SMP), hidden information, and Brownian motion to accurately simulate the complexity and uncertainty of real-world environments. Secondly, acknowledging system mode mismatches and the need for robust anti-interference capabilities, a non-fragile controller based on hidden information is proposed.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding Atopic Dermatitis among adult patients and parents of pediatric patients using a questionnaire that assessed demographics and KAP.
  • Results indicated adult patients had greater knowledge and adherence to treatment compared to parents, particularly in skincare and treatment precautions, while parents excelled in risk avoidance.
  • Regression analysis revealed that higher knowledge and positive attitudes were linked to better treatment practices, suggesting education on the disease can enhance self-management in both adults and parents.

This study presents a one-step multiplex reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method for the simultaneous detection of multiple viruses affecting melon crops. Viruses such as (WMV), (CMV), (ZYMV), (SqMV), (TMV), (PRSV), and (MYSV) pose a great threat to melons. The mixed infection of these viruses is the most common observation in the melon-growing fields.

Context: One of the key challenges in the industrial application of ionic liquids (ILs) is their extreme characteristics, such as viscosity, glass transition temperatures, and conductivity. Understanding the relationship between ILs structure and physicochemical property is a crucial aspect of the directed design of ILs with good properties, which is a prerequisite for their successful implementation in industrial processes. In this work, high-level quantum-chemical research with for four pairs ionic liquids, [Emim][X] and [Emim][BFX] (X = CHSO, EtSO, HSO, Tos), was performed, to analyze the stable structure, interionic interaction, and charge transfer and provide a new insight into the property variances at the molecular level.

Anti-wear and anti-oxidation abilities are two key properties of lubricants that play a crucial role in ensuring long-term stable equipment operation. In this study, we aimed to develop a base oil with good anti-oxidation and anti-wear properties for use under extreme pressure. The as-prepared metallocene polyalphaolefin (mPAO) was chemically modified using the trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TfOH) catalysis through an alkylating reaction with triphenyl phosphorothioate (TPPT).

A convenient method for synthesizing β-trifluoromethyl vinyl ethers and diethers through the base-mediated C-O coupling of ()-1,2-dichloro-3,3,3-trifluoroprop-1-ene and phenols has been developed. Remarkably, the present process shows perfect regioselective and stereoselective yield of the / isomers for β-trifluoromethyl vinyl ethers with high efficiency. Additionally, β-trifluoromethyl vinyl diethers with identical/diverse phenoxy groups were also obtained and the regulation of the product configuration was achieved.

Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10 million deaths every year. Immune checkpoint blockade approaches have changed the therapeutic landscape for many tumor types. However, current immune checkpoint inhibitors PD-1 or CTLA-4 are far from satisfactory, due to high immune-related adverse event incident (up to 60%) and the inefficiency in cases of "cold" tumor microenvironment.

It is a challenging task to design and synthesize stable, and high-performance non-precious metals bifunctional catalysts for water-splitting. Herein, the coupling between Se vacancy and interface engineering is highlighted to synthesize a unique CoFeSe hollow nanocubes structure on MXene-modified nickel foam (NF) by in-situ phase transition from bifunctionality prussian blue analogue (PBA) derivatives (V-CoFeSe@MXene/NF). DFT theory reveals that the Se vacancy and interface engineering modulate the surface electronic structure and optimize the surface adsorption energy of the intermediates.
