Nasal rehabilitation following basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and radiotherapy presents significant challenges due to the intricate balance between aesthetic and functional restoration. This case report discusses the rehabilitation of a 73-year-old male who underwent surgical excision and radiotherapy for BCC located on the left ala of the nose. Post-treatment, the patient experienced dissatisfaction with his facial appearance, negatively impacting his quality of life.

Perception of antibiotic use and antibiotic resistance among faculty and staff in a medical school: insights from a mixed mode survey in Bahrain.

In the present research work, a hazard quotient (HQ), Monte Carlo simulation (MCS), and geographic information systems (GIS) have been used to estimate the non-carcinogenic health risk of nitrate and fluoride in vulnerable adults, teenagers, and children living in far-flung areas of Uttar Pradesh, Northern India. About 110 samples from some nearby populations were collected and analyzed for nitrates by ion chromatography and fluoride by a fluoride-selective electrode.

In the proposed work, a highly sensitive reduced graphene oxide (rGO) coated etched fiber Bragg grating (eFBG) pH sensor is developed and characterized. To create the sensing probe, a nanocomposite layer of rGO is coated over the unclad area of the eFBG. The analysis of rGO material has been done using different characterization tools such as UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction (XRD), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM).
