Response surface methodology (RSM) is used in this study to optimize the thermal characteristics of single graphene nanoplatelets and hybrid nanofluids utilizing the miscellaneous design model. The nanofluids comprise graphene nanoplatelets and graphene nanoplatelets/cellulose nanocrystal nanoparticles in the base fluid of ethylene glycol and water (60:40). Using response surface methodology (RSM) based on central composite design (CCD) and mini tab 20 standard statistical software, the impact of temperature, volume concentration, and type of nanofluid is used to construct an empirical mathematical formula.

Article Synopsis
  • A radiator helps to cool vehicle engines by removing excess heat, but maintaining efficient heat transfer is becoming more difficult due to advancing engine technology.
  • This study examined a new hybrid nanofluid made from graphene nanoplatelets and cellulose nanocrystals mixed with water and ethylene glycol, using a testing setup to assess its thermal performance.
  • Results showed that this hybrid nanofluid significantly improved heat transfer efficiency—boosting the convective heat transfer coefficient by nearly 52%—and allowed for a more compact radiator design, which can reduce vehicle weight and size.

Background: Patients with psychiatric disorders are at an increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease, reducing life expectancy. Autonomic dysfunction has been linked to this increased risk; many studies have found reductions in heart rate variability (HRV). Only a few studies have systematically explored the relationship between obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and autonomic function, and they have found contradicting results.

Introduction: Brain abscesses (BA) form approximately 8% of intracranial masses in developing and 1-2% in western countries. Fungal BA (FBA) are aggressive and represent a catastrophic manifestation compared to protozoan and bacterial BA. Diagnosis of FBA is rare and usually done postmortem.

Optimum ultrasonication time will lead to the better performance for heat transfer in addition to preparation methods and thermal properties of the nanofluids. Nano particles are dispersed in base fluids like water (water-based fluids), glycols (glycol base fluids) &oils at different mass or volume fraction by using different preparation techniques. Significant preparation technique can enhance the stability, effects various parameters & thermo-physical properties of fluids.

Article Synopsis
  • - In the UK, a gold standard for colonoscopy requires a 90% cecal intubation (CI) rate, with endoscopists obligated to provide photographic evidence confirming successful CI, such as images of the ileum or ileocecal valve.
  • - An audit of 396 colonoscopies showed that initially only 70% met CI proof requirements, with only half of those providing clearly marked proof of intubation in photographs.
  • - After a repeat audit, 71% of colonoscopies improved to meet best practice standards, highlighting the need for regular audits and the importance of photographic evidence to prevent clinical and legal issues.

A starter consortium of (Y), (LAB), and (AAB) was defined to ferment the Cocoa beans (). Emphasis was laid to optimize the microbial concentration with a functional ratio of selected cultures. A central composite rotatable design (CCRD) was employed to study the effect of inoculum size (0-20% w/v) with alcohol, titrable acidity, polyphenols, anthocyanin, cut test, and sensory as response variables.

Pilocytic astrocytoma is a benign low-grade tumor with a favorable prognosis. We present a 47-year-old- lady with a posterior fossa pilocytic astrocytoma who underwent surgical decompression. She developed multiple early local recurrences Along with malignant transformation of the cranial lesion she developed skeletal dissemination within a very short time frame.

The current study assesses the potential of functionalised chitosan nanoparticles (CNPs) for proficient macrophage delivery of amphotericin B (AmpB) for the management of Candida glabrata fungemia. Chitosan was functionalised by the method of sulfation by using chlorosulfonic acid and the developed compound was confirmed by FTIR, H NMR and degree of sulfation and CHNS analysis. Amphotericin B encapsulated sulfated chitosan (AmpB-SCNPs), when characterized showed a hydrodynamic diameter of 310 ± 14 nm and zeta potential of 41.

This case series aimed to describe clinicoradiological, electromyographic, and etiological spectra in palatal tremor (essential=1; symptomatic=26). Patients with symptomatic palatal tremor had 2 to 10 Hz arrhythmic electromyographic bursts, a spectrum of changes in inferior olivary nucleus, with/without lesions in Guillain Mollaret triangle, and varied etiologies (genetic=9, vascular=6, trauma=3, infections=3). Exome sequencing showed variations in POLG, WDR81, NDUFS8, TENM4, and EEF2.

Objectives: To find the correlation between radiologically proven improvement in cerebral hemodynamics with clinical improvement in patients undergoing cranioplasty.

Material And Methods: The study is a prospective observational study of 10 cases, in M S Ramaiah Institute of Neurosciences, involving patients treated by a decompressive craniectomy for intractable intra cranial hypertension either due to trauma or stroke and afterwards underwent cranioplasty.

Results: Of the 10 patients, 70% patients showing significant improvement in motor functions on Barthel index scale, 60% patients showed improvement in speech, mean duration from date of decompressive craniectomy to cranioplasty being 122.

Objectives: To compare the clinical, balance, and radiological profile of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) of Richardson type (PSP-R) and Parkinsonian type (PSP-P).

Materials And Methods: Twenty-nine patients with PSP (PSP-R: 17, PSP-P: 12) satisfying the probable/possible National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke-PSP criteria were recruited and assessed with Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale-III, PSP rating scale (PSPRS), Berg balance scale (BBS), Tinetti performance-oriented mobility assessment gait and total (TPG and TPT) score, dynamic posturography (DP), and magnetic resonance imaging. Data were compared with 30 age- and gender-matched healthy controls.

The feasibility of coupled biohydrogen and polyhydroxyalkanoate production by Enterobacter aerogenes and Rhodobacter sphaeroides using Calophyllum inophyllum oil cake was studied under dark and photo fermentation conditions. The utilization of a non-edible acidic oil cake (C. inophyllum), and exploitation of a modified minimal salt media led to reduction in the cost of media.

Measuring neuro-haemodynamic correlates in the brain of epilepsy patients using EEG-fMRI has opened new avenues in clinical neuroscience, as these are two complementary methods for understanding brain function. In this study, we investigated three patients with drug-resistant reflex epilepsy using EEG-fMRI. Different types of reflex epilepsy such as eating, startle myoclonus, and hot water epilepsy were included in the study.
