is a species from the genus (Meliaceae) and the chemical constituent has not been widely explored. A new cycloartane-type triterpenoid, pachyphyllanone (), along with four known compounds (-) were isolated from Miq. Furthermore, the structure of the new compound was elucidated by the interpretation of spectroscopic data, including 1D and 2D-NMR, as well as ECD and NMR calculations (DP4+ analysis).

Therefore, this research aimed to analyze two novel pregnane steroids, pachylenone A (1) and pachylenone B (2), isolated from Miq. The cytotoxicity of the steroids was evaluated against MCF-7 breast cancer cell lines with other known steroid compounds, namely 5α-dihydroprogesterone (3), GSD-8 (4), -5α-pregn-l7(20)-en-3,16-dion (5), 20β-hydroxy-5αH-pregnan-3-one (6), 3β-hydroxy-5α-pregnan-20-one (7), aglaiasterol B (8), and 2β,3β-dihydroxypregnan-16-one (9).

Due to high toxicity of conventional diabetic drugs, the exploration of natural compounds as alternative diabetes treatments has been widely carried out. Previous in silico studies have highlighted berberine, a natural compound, as a promising alternative in antidiabetic therapy, potentially acting through various pathways, including the inhibition of the FOXO1 transcription factor in the gluconeogenesis pathway.

This procedure can be conducted easily in air, and without using additional ligands, to afford the fluorinated unsymmetrical biaryl products in up to 98 % yield. Experimental studies suggest that the formation of [PdL(CF)] in DMF as coordinating solvent does not take place under the reaction conditions as it is stable to reductive elimination and thus would deactivate the catalyst.

Such studies require a realistic computational model of AuNPs for successful molecular design works. This study offers a new multilayer model of AuNPs to address the inconsistency between its molecular mechanics' interpretation and AuNP's plasmonic nature.
