Intensive technology Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) culture has been applied in Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi Province, but information on the performance of Pacific white shrimp culture and the land characteristics or environment of the pond has not yet been obtained. The research purposes are to find out the performance and the land characteristics or environment of Pacific white shrimp culture intensive technology to serve as a basis for determining the culture development. Five transects perpendicular to the shoreline and three transects parallel to the coastline, or 15 water sample stations, were identified in the field.

The prevalence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) among adolescents is on the rise due to a lack of comprehensive knowledge, leading to suboptimal attitudes and behaviors, which emphasizes the critical need for targeted interventions. The aim of this review study was to evaluate the effectiveness of educational interventions for HIV prevention among adolescents by assessing their impact on knowledge, attitude, and behavior. A systematic review of seven databases: PubMed, Science Direct, Cochrane, JSTOR, Embase, Scopus, and EBSCO were identified, and 14 eligible randomized controlled trials published until June 2023 were included.

The short-lived tropical squall lines could trigger weather-related hazards to the northern part of the Indonesia Maritime Continent (IMC), such as Sumatra and Kalimantan. Herein, we investigated the rare propagation event of the long-lived Sumatra squall line associated with a severe storm surge that induced coastal inundation in Java-Bali with devastating impacts from 22 May-2 June 2020. With a comprehensive approach combining observational, numerical, and analytical studies, for the first time, we proposed the possible mechanism related to the long-lived squall line over the IMC, which represents the largest equatorial tropical region with the most complicated air-sea interaction area in the world.

Archival swine DNA samples from Indonesia and Mongolia, some of which were previously shown to be positive for African swine fever virus, were screened for the presence of porcine circovirus 2 (PCV-2) and porcine circovirus 3 (PCV-3) by PCR. Samples from both countries were positive for PCV-2 (three from Mongolia and two from Indonesia), while none were positive for PCV-3. The PCV-2 amplicons were sequenced, and phylogenetic analysis revealed that the PCV-2 strains belonged to four different genotypes: PCV-2a (Mongolia), PCV-2b (Mongolia and Indonesia), PCV-2d (Indonesia), and PCV-2g (Mongolia).
