Non-haem iron (Fe) and 2-oxoglutarate(2OG)-dependent dioxygenases catalyse various biological reactions. These enzymes couple the oxidative decarboxylation of 2OG to the hydroxylation of the substrates. While some of these enzymes are reported to have multiple substrates, the substrate remains unknown for many of the enzymes.

These intensities of yield losses generally depend on the duration of WL and crop growth stages. Maize being a dry land crop is particularly sensitive to WL.

Based on evidence that many groundnut genotypes have an inherent ability to tolerate the pathogenicity of species, twenty-two genotypes of groundnut were screened against infection in sick plot field experiment; four genotypes, namely CS19, GG16, GG20 and TG37A, were selected as being the most tolerant, moderately tolerant, susceptible and highly susceptible to stem rot, respectively. Stem tissues (1cm from the collar region) from infected and healthy plants of four selected genotypes differing in susceptibility were examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM).

Topical IOP lowering agents provide short-term relief, necessitating frequent dosing. Moreover, non-adherence to frequent eyedrops administration contributes significantly to visual field loss and worsens the disease outcome.

The introduction of SnInS shell layer coating over ZnO enhances visible light absorption, efficient exciton-mediated direct charge transfer, and reduces the band gap of ZnO@SnInS core-shell nanorods. The ZnO@SnInS core-shell nanorods show efficient solar-light driven catalytic efficiency for the disintegration of industrial dye (orange G), degradation of tetracycline, and reduction of hazardous Cr (VI) ions in aquatic systems.

Recognizing the limitations of BMI in accurately diagnosing obesity and the emergence of new research revealing the association between generalized and abdominal adiposity in Asian Indians and early-onset co-morbid diseases, a comprehensive redefinition was needed.
Method: In a Delphi process focused on obesity in India, experts were invited via email to participate in five rounds.
Alzheimer's disease (AD), a leading cause of dementia, is associated with significant respiratory dysfunctions. Our study explores the role of astrogliosis in the brainstem retrotrapezoid nucleus (RTN), a key breathing regulatory center, and its impact on breathing control and AD pathology in mice. Using Tg-2576 AD and wild-type mice, we investigated the effect of silencing the transforming growth factor-beta receptor II (TGFβR II) in the RTN.

Acute but minor fluctuations in osmolarity and pH do not affect the living systems significantly. However, significant BLI is observed from marine BB due to acute osmolarity or pH changes that may affect the bioassay sensitivity.

This study assessed the association of DM with significant carotid artery stenosis (CAS) among the coronary artery disease (CAD) population undergoing isolated elective coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.
Methods: A prospective cross-sectional study evaluated 100 Bangladeshi CAD patients who underwent isolated elective CABG from January 2017 to September 2019.
Background: Opioid use disorder remains a critical healthcare challenge as current therapeutic strategies have limitations resulting in high recurrence and deaths. We evaluated safety and feasibility of focused ultrasound (FUS) neuromodulation to reduce substance cravings and use in severe opioid- and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Methods: This prospective, open-label, single-arm study enrolled 8 participants with severe, primary opioid use disorder with co-occurring substance use.
Purpose: To report the clinical features and operative findings of a series of patients with lacrimal sac mucoceles extending above the anatomic level of the medial canthal tendon (MCT).
Methods: A retrospective chart review of all patients presenting with lacrimal sac mucocele extending above the anatomic level of the MCT over a period of five years from 2019 and 2023. All patients underwent surgical management.

Despite its goals, NEET-UG has faced criticism over fairness, excessive reliance on coaching, and its impact on students' holistic development. The article reviews the limitations of the current NEET-UG format and proposes reforms, emphasizing the need to align the syllabus more closely with medical requirements by reducing physics and chemistry content and prioritizing biology.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to study the prevalence, risk factors, trajectory, management, and outcome of severe ICU-AH (≥155 mmol·L).
Aim: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of microbiologically confirmed female genital tuberculosis (FGTB) infection in patients attending a tertiary care hospital in North India.
Materials And Methods: A total of 623 endometrial biopsy samples were processed in the mycobacteriology laboratory from the outpatient and inpatient gynecology departments between May 2022 and February 2024. Ziehl-Neelsen (ZN) smear was performed on all samples.
In this work, we have adopted an easy route to synthesizing bis-1,2,3-triazole-based benzophenone compounds via a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction (Click Chemistry). All the target compounds achieved better yields though the microwave-assisted method than the conventional method. Target compounds structure were confirmed based on the IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HR Mass analysis.

We utilized the hydro-distillation method to extract Piper nigrum seed essential oil (PNS-EO) and identified its bioactive components through gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis. A total of 46 bioactive compounds were isolated via hydro-distillation, identified through GC-MS analysis, and validated by co-injection using GC analysis.

Cancer cell heterogeneity is largely attributed to distinct genetic changes within each cell population. However, the widespread epigenome repatterning that characterizes most cancers is also highly heterogenous within tumors and could generate cells with diverse identities and malignant features.

ECM proteins play a major role in various pathological conditions, and changes in their spatial distributions affect the function and morphology of cells within tissues. ECM protein detection is challenging because they are large, insoluble, and undergo various post-translational modifications, such as glycosylation.
