Background: Thyroid dysfunction in pregnancy can adversely impact maternal and fetal outcomes. However, the association between thyroid status and specific adverse outcomes needs clarity, especially in understudied regions.
Objective: This prospective cohort study aimed to illuminate the multifaceted associations between maternal thyroid dysfunction and feto-maternal outcomes in Gujarat, India.
Background: Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a major public health problem worldwide. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of MAFLD and evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of the Fatty Liver Index (FLI) compared to ultrasonography for detecting fatty liver in adults attending a tertiary care hospital in Gujarat, India.
Methods: This cross-sectional study included 500 adults visiting the outpatient department between January 2023 and December 2023.
Although the gene has a long-standing association with cancer, its mechanisms of action remain incompletely understood, acting both as a tumour suppressor in neuroendocrine tumours and as an oncogene in leukaemia. The best-characterised isoform of the encoded protein, MENIN, is the 610-amino acid MENIN isoform 2. We hypothesise that some of the complexity of biology can be attributed to a currently unappreciated contribution of different MENIN isoforms.

EVs are classified as several subpopulations such as microvesicles, apoptotic bodies, and exosomes. In cancer, exosomes play a significant role as a cellular messenger in tumor development and progression.

Rabies, a fatal zoonotic viral disease claims numerous lives annually worldwide, particularly in Asia and Africa. Despite the high prevalence of rabies in India, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have historically maintained a rabies-free status. This report documents the first non-indigenous case of human rabies in these islands, emphasizing the imperative for heightened surveillance measures.

The variable stone clearance rates and the ergonomic challenges faced by urologists are a few limitations.

Methods: Retrospective chart review of 44 eyes of 42 patients. The indications for plaque brachytherapy included solid tumor recurrence (n=20; 45%), solid tumor residual (n=16; 36%), new subretinal seeds (n=5; 12%), and new solid tumor (n=3; 7%).
Non-typhoidal causing urinary tract infections is uncommon.Their presence in urine is usually suggestive of genitourinary abnormalities, immunosuppression, andother comorbid conditions. The first patient is an 18-year-old female who presented to the Emergency Department with abdominal pain and burning micturition.

Aim: To assess the impact of the introduction of sonographic mid-trimester cervical length screening on the use of cervical cerclage and PTB.
Aim: This study aimed to compare the remineralizing efficacy of strontium-doped bioactive glass, BioMin, and NovaMin containing dentifrices on artificial white spot lesions (WSLs) after chlorhexidine (CHX) pretreatment using energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX).
Materials And Methodology: Twenty-four samples of maxillary first premolars extracted for orthodontic purposes were selected. Artificial WSLs were produced by immersing the samples in a prepared demineralizing solution for 3 days.
Chronic low back pain (CLBP) is a common disorder worldwide, affecting young and old adults alike. Kinematic studies of lumbar-pelvic mobility allied with surface electromyogram (sEMG) can assist in the assessment and management of CLBP. This systematic review aimed to synthesise the evidence relating to the diagnostic accuracy and reliability of the surface electromyogram in chronic low back pain patients during flexion-extension-relaxation tasks.

This has generated interest in exploring alternative therapies to manage symptoms and enhance cognitive function in the aging population. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of Medhasagar Rasa® on cognitive functions, daily functioning, and quality of life in participants with aging-associated mild neurocognitive disorder using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) Scale, Ayurvedic Manasabhava Scale, and Brief Cognitive Rating Scale (BCRS).

There are numerous treatments ranging from surgery to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but since cancer is a heterogeneous disease, only few patients possibly respond to treatments. However, it opens a huge space for the advent of targeted therapies such as hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and target-specific drugs.

Surface-attached cells can sense and respond to shear flow, but planktonic (free-swimming) cells are typically assumed to be oblivious to any flow that carries them. Here, we find that planktonic bacteria can transcriptionally respond to flow, inducing expression changes that are beneficial in flow. Specifically, we use microfluidic experiments and quantitative modeling to show that in the presence of flow, planktonic induce shear rate-dependent genes that promote growth in low-oxygen environments.

Trans urethral resection of prostate (TURP) has some drawbacks, particularly concerning ejaculatory function. Ejaculation preserving TURP (Ep-TURP) is one such technique that aims at preserving the tissues that are primarily responsible for antegrade ejaculation.

However, pathological correlation of DS is not yet precisely documented. In the present study we aimed to pathological confirm the PET/CT-based Deauville scoring (DS) in lymphoma after first-line chemotherapy.

This study aimed to address the absence of a suitable and validated Hindi version of the NDI for the rural population. The specific objectives were to translate, adapt, and evaluate the psychometric properties of the newly developed Hindi version of the NDI.

Interpretation of these results is often difficult because multiple studies have previously identified bacteremia in clinically healthy reptiles. In this study, paired blood cultures and skin cultures obtained after aseptic preparation of the venipuncture site were collected from 50 immature free-ranging green turtles from Port Canaveral, Florida.
