A cervical rib is the cause of ∼5% of thoracic outlet syndromes (TOS). We report the case of a patient with arterial TOS due to the presence of a cervical rib, managed by combined thoracoscopic and supraclavicular approach. An 18-year-old female patient presented with symptoms of arterial TOS.

The aims of this study were to assess the knowledge and practices of French-speaking Swiss perinatal professionals in terms of CMV prevention, as well as the sociodemographic-professional factors that influence them.
Methods: This observational study used a cross-sectional design to collect data-via an anonymous electronic questionnaire in French distributed to gynecologists-obstetricians, general practitioners and midwives via various channels: e-mails and social networks of partner centers, professional associations, and conferences.
The ethical value-and to some scholars, necessity-of providing trial patients with post-trial access (PTA) to an investigational drug has been subject to significant attention in the field of research ethics. Although no consensus has emerged, it seems clear that, in some trial contexts, various factors make PTA particularly appropriate. We outline the atypical aspects of psychedelic clinical trials that support the case for introducing the provision of PTA within research in this field, including the broader legal status of psychedelics, the nature of the researcher-therapist/participant relationship, and the extended time-frame of the full therapeutic process.

The common routine of subtomogram averaging (STA) allows obtaining the three-dimensional (3D) structure of abundant macromolecular complexes, and can be coupled with discrete classification to reveal conformational heterogeneity of the sample. However, the number of complexes extracted from cryo-ET data is usually small, which restricts the discrete-classification results to a small number of enough populated states and, thus, results in a largely incomplete conformational landscape.

The aim of this case‒control study is to evaluate the relationship between the length of the cystic duct remnant and the risk for bile duct stone recurrence after cholecystectomy.
Methods: All MRIs with dedicated sequences of the biliary tract taken between 2010 and 2020 from patients who underwent prior cholecystectomy were reviewed.

Known risk factors for post-RAI GD include preexisting subclinical hyperthyroidism, positive thyroid peroxidase autoantibodies (TPOAb), positive TSH receptor autoantibodies (TRAb) or otherwise undiagnosed GD. What is the impact of unilateral injury of the primary motor cortex (hand area; MCI) or of the cervical cord (hemisection at C7-C8 level; SCI) on the primary somatosensory (cutaneous) inputs to the dorsal column nuclei (DCN) in adult macaque monkeys?
