The detection of foodborne bacteria is critical in ensuring both consumer safety and food safety. If these pathogens are not properly identified, it can lead to dangerous cross-contamination. One of the most common methods for classifying bacteria is through the examination of Hyperspectral microscope imaging (HMI).

Solitary wave behavior of (2+1)-dimensional Chaffee-Infante equation.

The behavior of gas diffusion in a homogeneous medium is described by the (2+1)-dimensional Chaffee-Infante equation. In this work, the solitary wave behavior of the (2+1)-dimensional Chaffee-Infante equation is studied with the help of extended sinh-Gordon equation expansion technique. Bright, dark, periodic, kink, anti-kink and singular traveling wave patterns are observed for suitable choice of parameters.

Deep Residual Network for Diagnosis of Retinal Diseases Using Optical Coherence Tomography Images.

Diabetic retinopathy occurs due to damage to the blood vessels in the retina, and it is a major health problem in recent years that progresses slowly without recognizable symptoms. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a popular and widely used noninvasive imaging modality for the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy. Accurate and early diagnosis of this disease using OCT images is crucial for the prevention of blindness.

Herein, we report a comparative study based on structure, thermal and solution stability, and biopotency against lipoxygenase (LOX), butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) and microbes for Pd(II) compounds of N,O,S bearing 5-(CHXR)-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thiones (L') of type [PdL'Cl] (P'n) and N,O bearing respective hydrazides (L) of type trans-[PdLCl] (Pn) {X = C, R = 4-I, 2-Br, 4-NO, 3-NO, 2-Cl, 3-Cl (n = 1-6, serially); X = N (n = 7)}. Spectral techniques (IR, EI-MS, NMR) and physicochemical evaluations successfully characterized the new compounds. The L' behaved as bidentate S-N donors bonded through exocyclic sulfur and N-3' nitrogen, while L acted as amino N donors.

Concentration and Localization of Fe and Zn in Wheat Grain as Affected by Its Application to Soil and Foliage.

Nutritional status of people can be improved by enhancing zinc (Zn) and iron (Fe) content in cereals used as staple mainly in poor resource countries. Zinc and Fe were applied through soil and foliage in a study to biofortify wheat grains. Foliar application of both micronutrients increased the growth and grain vigor as compared to soil application and control.

Effect of Quercetin on Oxidative Stress, Mitochondrial Activity, and Quality of Indian Red Jungle Fowl () Sperm.

The study was designed to elucidate the effects of quercetin in an extender on oxidative stress, mitochondrial activity and quality of Indian red jungle fowl () sperm during cryopreservation. Semen was collected from seven adult males through abdominal massage and evaluated for semen volume, concentration, and motility. The qualifying semen ejaculates having >80% motility were diluted in red fowl extenders with 0 (control), 5, 10, 15, and 20 mM quercetin.

Anionic azo dyes removal from water using amine-functionalized cobalt-iron oxide nanoparticles: a comparative time-dependent study and structural optimization towards the removal mechanism.

The current study is aimed at synthesizing and characterizing magnetic cobalt-iron oxide nanoparticles (CoFeNPs) functionalized with two different amino reagents, hydrazine and dodecylamine, resulting in CoFeNPs1 and CoFeNPs2, respectively. Both types of cobalt-ferrite nanoparticles were investigated for the removal of six different negatively charged azoic dyes (Amaranth, Acid Orange 7, Naphthol Blue Black, Reactive Orange 16, Acid Orange 52 and Reactive Red-P2B) from water, and their removal efficiency was compared as a function of different factors such as time, type of anchored amine, size of CoFeNPs and structure of the dye. CoFeNPs were successfully characterized by FT-IR spectra, AFM, SEM-EDS, surface charge (ζ-potential) and thermal analysis.

Convenient pH-responsive removal of Acid Black 1 by green l-histidine/iron oxide magnetic nanoadsorbent from water: performance and mechanistic studies.

This study was aimed at developing green histidine-modified FeO nanoparticles (His-MNPs) for the adsorptive removal of Acid Black 1 (AB1) from aqueous solution. The His-MNPs were characterized by atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry, infra-red spectra and thermogravimetry. These MNPs were spherical (average diameter 11-28 nm) with polydispersity index of 1.

FECALITH IN THE ILEUM CAUSING INTESTINAL OBSTRUCTION.

Small bowel obstruction is one of the common conditions presenting in surgical wards, however fecalith is one of the rare causes of bowel obstruction. We present here a case of 65 years old lady, who presented with sub-acute intestinal obstruction. In spite of the initial diagnosis being sigmoid volvulus, exploratory laparotomy revealed a focolith in ileum which was retrieved through an enterotomy and primary closure was done.

Integrative analyses of conserved WNT clusters and their co-operative behaviour in human breast cancer.

In human, WNT gene clusters are highly conserved at specie level and associated with carcinogenesis. Among them, WNT-10A and WNT-6 genes clustered in chromosome 2q35 are homologous to WNT-10B and WNT-1 located in chromosome 12q13, respectively. In an attempt to study co-regulation, the coordinated expression of these genes was monitored in human breast cancer tissues.

Neurochemical effects of 8-hydroxy-2-di-n-propylamino tetralin in rats treated with haloperidol.

In view of a possible role of presynaptic serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT) receptors in the precipitation of extrapyramidal side effects (EPS), the present study was designed to investigate the neurochemical effects of a selective 5-HT1A ligand, 8-hydroxy-2- (di-n-propylamino) tetralin (8-OH-DPAT) in rats following single (5 mg/kg) and repeated (two-times a day for 9 days at dosage of 5mg/kg) haloperidol administration. Haloperidol plus 8-OH-DPAT injected animals exhibited a decrease in dopamine (DA) and an increase in DA metabolite homovanillic acid (HVA) levels in the striatum and rest of the brain. The two groups of animals exhibited comparable levels of 5-HT and its metabolite 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) in the striatum and rest of the brain.
