Alignment of mosaic gratings is traditionally supported by two interferometric verifications: on the zero order to verify the grating surfaces and on the blaze to verify the groove direction. In the case of low frequency echelle grating an interferometric measurement on the zero order is hardly feasible due to extremely low contrast of the fringes. The complete alignment has then to be carried out on high order (close to the blaze) where the two misalignment errors (the tip and rotation) show the same effect on the interferogram.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a progressive age-related disease characterised by pathological changes in the synovium, articular cartilage, and subchondral bone, significantly reducing the patients' quality of life. This study investigated the role of glucocorticoids, specifically dexamethasone, in OA progression, with a particular focus on their effects on chondrocytes. Although glucocorticoids are commonly used for OA pain relief, our research demonstrated that high concentrations of dexamethasone may accelerate OA progression by enhancing the ability of reactive oxygen species to inhibit chondrocyte autophagy, resulting in cell death and accelerated cartilage degeneration.

Stereodivergent dual catalysis has emerged as a powerful tool to selectively prepare all four stereoisomers in molecules containing two chiral centers from common starting materials. Most processes involve the use of two substrates, and it remains challenging to use dual catalyst approaches to generate molecules having three newly formed stereocenters with high diastereo- and enantioselectivity. Here we report a multicomponent, stereodivergent method for the synthesis of targets containing three contiguous stereocenters by the combination of enantioselective Rh-catalyzed conjugate addition and Ir-catalyzed allylic alkylation methodologies.

In our previous study, diet directly impacted the microbiota of the rumen in twin lambs. The duodenum is the first part of the small intestine, so we seek to determine whether there is a difference in the digesta between the two feed groups HFLP (high fiber, low protein) and LFHP (low fiber, high protein), and its impact on the biodiversity and metabolism of the duodenum. Results showed that the number of Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs) in the duodenum (2,373 OTUs) was more than those in the rumen (1,230 OTUs), and 143 OTUs were significantly different in the duodenum between the two groups.

Carbazole/cyanobenzene photocatalysts promote the direct isotopic carboxylate exchange of C(sp) acids with labeled CO. Substrates that are not compatible with transition-metal-catalyzed degradation-reconstruction approaches or prone to thermally induced reversible decarboxylation undergo isotopic incorporation at room temperature in short reaction times.
