Bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum is a destructive disease that affects potato production, leading to severe yield losses. Currently, little is known about the changes in the assembly and functional adaptation of potato rhizosphere microbial communities during different stages of R. solanacearum infection.

The activated PKR performs its antiviral function by inhibiting protein translation and inducing apoptosis. In our previous study, we identified grass carp TARBP2 as an inhibitor of PKR activity, thereby suppressing cell apoptosis.

Recently, many studies have been conducted to determine the optimized embodied energy considering size of structural members and materials strength using a single objective function. In this context, the current study adopted a multi-objective function based on cost and Embodied Energy (EE) for the sustainable design of the entire multi-story building.

Thus, this paper uses a plastic deformation (PD) method based on concrete plasticity theory (CPT) for comparative analysis of multi-storey reinforcement cement concrete (RCC) and composite buildings under common and rare earthquake loads. For this purpose, a 15-storey tall building was selected for analysis using ABAQUS software.

This study aimed to identify new therapeutic targets and biomarkers for psoriasis and chronic ulcers by comparing their gene expression profiles. The gene expression profiles of psoriatic, wound and chronic ulcer patients, as well as healthy controls, were determined via RNA extraction and next-generation sequencing of biopsies.

Methods: Constipation in rats was induced by loperamide, and rats were randomly assigned into model (saline), HHT-low (95 g/kg), HTT-medium (190 g/kg), HTT-high (380 g/kg) and positive control (mosapride) groups. Then the defecation function, the concentration of serum arginine vasopressin (AVP) and cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), and the expression of AQP3 and AQP8 in colon tissues were assessed.
Objective: To explore the potential value of gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in LR-3/4 lesions by adding computed tomography (CT) delayed images based on the Liver Imaging Reporting And Data System (LI-RADS).
Methods: The differences in clinical and imaging characteristics between hepatocellular carcinoma and non-HCC were compared, and logistic regression was used to analyze the imaging risk factors for the diagnosis of HCC. Based on the main and HCC-specific auxiliary features of Gd-EOB-DTPA MRI, the HCC diagnostic model 1 was established, and the diagnostic efficacy was analyzed.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of the Shugan Jieyu capsule on improving sleep and emotional disorder during Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) convalescence.
Methods: We conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, and recruit 200 COVID-19 convalescence patients and then divide the subjects into two groups respectively: the experimental group ( 100) and the control group ( 100). Patients in the control group were given doses as a placebo, while those in the experimental group were given Shugan Jieyu capsule.
The presence of excessive hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) in the contaminated soils and plants has become a global environmental issue due to its toxicity and carcinogenicity. This work investigated the feasibility of immobilizing Cr(VI) in the soil-plant environment using calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) synthesized from coal gangue. The results revealed that the C-S-H amendment increased soil pH and organic matter (OM), which further promoted Cr(VI) immobilization.

Necroptosis has been discussed as a new form of cell death and plays an important role in inflammation. To investigate the mechanism of HS-induced immune injury, and the role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in this process, based on the results of high-throughput sequencing, we selected the most significantly changed miR-15b-5p for subsequent experiments.

Studies have shown that inflammation is the main inducement of vascular disease, microRNA (miRNA) can influence inflammation in various ways, and Se deficiency can affect miRNAs expression.

Unlike CKD, the key pathological change of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is glomerulosclerosis.
Methods: To conduct a meta-analysis of the diagnostic performance of the CKD-EPI and MDRD equations in diabetic patients, we searched PubMed, Embase and the Cochrane Library for studies comparing standard GFR (sGFR) with eGFR using these two equations.
Globally, methods of controlling blood pressure in hypertension patients remain inefficient. The difficulty of prescribing appropriate drugs specific to a patient's clinical features serves as one of the most important factors. Characterizing the critical drug-related features, just like that of the antibacterial spectrum (where each item is sensitive to the targeted drug's effectiveness or a specified indication), may help a doctor easily prescribe appropriate drugs by matching a patient's attributes with drug-related features, and effectiveness of the selected drugs would also be ascertained.

The aim of this study was to investigate the underlying mechanisms involved in the antagonistic effects of ASB on cadmium (Cd)-induced necroptosis in chicken peripheral blood lymphocytes. Peripheral blood lymphocytes were aseptically collected from Roman white hens and then randomly divided into five groups: the control group was incubated without additional reagents, while the other groups were incubated with Cd, ASB, a combination of Cd and ASB, and 0.

Research on ecosystem stability is important to inform evaluation of the health of degraded grassland ecosystems. We examined synthetic stability, which was defined by the relationships between multiple components of stability, known as multidimensional stability, in grasslands at four stages of degradation (undegraded, slightly degraded, moderately degraded, and intensely degraded) in the Xilin River Basin, Inner Mongolia, China.

Continuous GPS tracking devices always suffer short battery life when used by caregivers to reduce the risk of wandering to dangerous areas by dementia patients. Currently the best existing tracker for dementia patients on the market only supports less than 10 hours battery life with a gigantic battery. It not only requires daily battery charging from patients/caregivers, but also becomes a very restrictive device.

Diet monitoring is one of the most important aspects in preventative health care that aims to reduce various health risks. Manual recording has been a prevalence among all approaches yet it is tedious and often end up with a low adherence rate. Several existing techniques that have been developed to monitor food intake suffer too with accuracy, efficiency, and user acceptance rate.

The grafted product CMWCNT-g-PHB was prepared by condensation reactions between the carboxyl groups of CMWCNT and hydroxyl groups of PHB molecules and characterized by FTIR, XRD, XPS, TG and TEM measurements. The surface morphology, hydrophilicity and tensile mechanical properties of the electrospun PHB/CMWCNT-g-PHB composite nanofibers membrane scaffolds were investigated.

Previous works on palette-based color manipulation typically fail to produce visually pleasing results with vivid color and natural appearance. In this paper, we present an approach to edit colors of an image by adjusting a compact color palette. Different from existing methods that fail to preserve inherent color characteristics residing in the source image, we propose a color decomposition optimization for flexible recoloring while retaining these characteristics.
