Cancer is still the leading cause of death worldwide. Despite advances in diagnosis, management with the rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin hydrochloride, vincristine sulfate, and prednisone (R-CHOP) chemotherapy regimen, and careful clinical and radiologic evaluation, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) still carries high recurrence in clinical practice. This case series aims to assess the potential of circulating free RNA as a biomarker for evaluating therapeutic responses in DLBCL.

Working mostly in Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic countries, environmental psychologists have developed scales assessing relationships between pro-environmental beliefs and behaviors. Working in Tanzanian and Indonesian protected area landscapes, containing important biodiversity and conflict over human-nature interactions, we investigate the utility of the New Ecological Paradigm for measuring pro-environmental beliefs and understanding support for protected area regulations. We found the New Ecological Paradigm ineffective at measuring pro-environmental beliefs in both countries; in Tanzania due to acquiescence bias, and in Indonesia exploratory factor analysis supported none of the original factors, with 4 of 15 statements loading onto a novel "eco-fragility" factor.

  • Routine childhood vaccinations, specifically DTP and CoronaVac, may enhance protection against SARS-CoV-2 by promoting a concept called heterologous immunity.
  • A study in Jakarta involving 154 healthy children aged 6-8 found that those fully vaccinated with DTP had significantly higher anti-diphtheria IgG levels and stronger immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 than those without complete vaccination.
  • The findings indicate that routine vaccinations in children could not only protect against traditional diseases but also strengthen defenses against new infections like COVID-19.

Background: Dental pulp inflammation, often initiated by Gram-negative microorganisms and lipopolysaccharides (LPS), can lead to pulpitis and, subsequently, dental pulp necrosis, compromising tooth structure and increasing susceptibility to fracture. Asiatic acid, derived from , has demonstrated pharmacological properties, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, making it a potential candidate for mitigating LPS-induced pulp inflammation. This study aims to investigate the impact of Asiatic acid on the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathway in with LPS-induced pulp inflammation.

Protected area management often depends heavily on law enforcement to secure compliance with rules. However, this can contribute to conflict between protected area authorities and local people, negatively affecting both human well-being and conservation outcomes. Compliance is affected by many factors, including whether those who enforce rules are perceived to do so fairly, as well as the perceived rule-related behavior of others.
