No epidemiologic studies have been conducted to assess the association of intake of dietary vitamin K with the risk of pancreatic cancer. We used prospective data from the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial between 1993 and 2009 to fill this gap. A total of 101,695 subjects were identified.

The results show that the transmittance of the paraffin-PDMS film can be modulated from 49.76% to 97.

Objective: Little is known about the association between maternal history of dysmenorrhea and perinatal outcomes. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between maternal history of dysmenorrhea and low birth weight (LBW).
Methods: A total of 6754 pregnant women were recruited from the ongoing prospective cohort study in Guangxi, China, in 2015-2018.
Risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes among Zhuang ethnic pregnant women are unclear. This study analyzed the incidence and risk factors related to preterm birth (PB), low birth weight (LBW) and macrosomia in Zhuang population. We conducted a prospective cohort study of 9965 Zhuang pregnancy women in Guangxi, China.

In the current study, the crystalline and valency factors that influence the COR activities of OD-Cu are revisited by employing single crystal Cu(111) foils that exclude convolutions from initial morphological and crystallographic heterogeneity. We observe that the overall COR performance, especially the CH selectivity, correlates well with the initial oxidation level of the Cu(111) foil, of which the surface oxide layer is reduced into small fragments comprising rich grain boundaries and diversely orientated facets.

BALB/c mice were sensitized and challenged by ovalbumin (OVA) to induce AR. HC-030031 or vehicle was administrated to mice via intraperitoneal injection prior to OVA challenges.

Acute pancreatitis (AP) is one of the most common gastroenterological disorders requiring hospitalization and is associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. Metabolomics nowadays not only help us to understand cellular metabolism to a degree that was not previously obtainable, but also to reveal the importance of the metabolites in physiological control, disease onset and development. An in-depth understanding of metabolic phenotyping would be therefore crucial for accurate diagnosis, prognosis and precise treatment of AP.

Pullulan hydrogels are widely used in tissue engineering and drug delivery. However, these hydrogels do not meet the requirements of articular cartilage repair because of their fast degradation rate and poor mechanical strength. Herein, we fabricated a hybrid hydrogel system by combining pullulan with synthetic polymers polyethylene (glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA).

Its main function is to act as a mir-7 sponge. Accumulated studies show that CDR1as is closely related to various diseases, especially cancer.

Oxymatrine (OMT), a quinolizidine alkaloid extracted from the root of Sophora flavescens, has neuroprotective properties and protects against IS. However, whether its protective effect involves alterations in the integrity of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) is unknown.

Background: Modern Western diets are rich in acidogenic foods. Human and studies suggest a potential link between dietary acid load and cancer risk. However, no epidemiologic studies have investigated the association of dietary acid load with the risk of pancreatic cancer.

However, the biological function of SERPINA3 in breast cancer (BC) remains unclear.
Methods: Bioinformatics data were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases.
Background: Ultra-processed foods have now become dominant in the global food system. Whether their consumption is associated with cardiovascular mortality remains controversial. Moreover, data on ultra-processed foods and cardiovascular outcomes are scarce in the US population.

Background: Numerous studies have concentrated on high-dose radiation exposed accidentally or through therapy, and few involve low-dose occupational exposure, to investigate the correlation between low-dose ionizing radiation and changing hematological parameters among medical workers.
Methods: Using a prospective cohort study design, we collected health examination reports and personal dose monitoring data from medical workers and used Poisson regression and restricted cubic spline models to assess the correlation between changing hematological parameters and cumulative radiation dose and determine the dose-response relationship.
Results: We observed that changing platelet of 1265 medical workers followed up was statistically different among the cumulative dose groups (P = 0.
Magic-angle twisted bilayer graphene (MATBG) exhibits a range of correlated phenomena that originate from strong electron-electron interactions. These interactions make the Fermi surface highly susceptible to reconstruction when ±1, ±2 and ±3 electrons occupy each moiré unit cell, and lead to the formation of various correlated phases. Although some phases have been shown to have a non-zero Chern number, the local microscopic properties and topological character of many other phases have not yet been determined.

Solar-driven photocatalytic CO reduction into CH with HO is considered to be a promising way to alleviate the energy crisis and greenhouse effect. However, current CO photoreduction technologies tend to overlook the role of photooxidation half reaction as well as the effect of the protons produced by water oxidation on CH generation, resulting in low CO conversion efficiency and poor CH selectivity. In the present study, a series of chloride-modified BiWO nanosheets were constructed in view of chloride-assisted photocatalytic water oxidation.

Centrosome amplification (CA) is a common feature of human tumors, but it is not clear whether this is a cause or a consequence of cancer. The centrosome amplification observed in tumor cells may be explained by a series of events, such as failure of cell division, dysregulation of centrosome cycle checkpoints, and de novo centriole biogenesis disorder. The formation and progression of breast cancer are characterized by genomic abnormality.
