In patients with transplant-eligible newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, induction therapy with a quadruplet regimen prior to autologous transplant is the standard of care. The phase III IFM2020-02-MIDAS study (NCT04934475) assessed a minimal residual disease (MRD)-driven consolidation and maintenance strategy following induction with isatuximab, carfilzomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone (IsaKRD). Here, we report safety and efficacy outcomes of six 28-day cycles of IsaKRD.

Yet while the efficacy of such adjuvant strategies has been shown to be highly time dependent, antiplatelet therapy at the acute phase of ischemic stroke cannot be envisioned until the diagnosis of stroke and its ischemic nature have been confirmed because of the presumed risk of worsening bleeding in case of intracranial hemorrhage (ICH). Here, we investigated this risk for 2 antiplatelet drugs currently being tested in clinical trials for ischemic stroke, glenzocimab and eptifibatide, in 2 mouse models of ICH.

In this post hoc analysis of clinically important subgroups in MAIA (median follow-up, 64.

Some treatments are proposed to alleviate symptoms, mainly pain, fatigue, and sleep disorder. Other treatments are proposed according to pathophysiological mechanisms, especially central sensitization and abnormal pain modulation.

Methods: ASCO convened an Expert Panel of medical oncology, thoracic surgery, radiation oncology, pathology, cancer genetics, and advocacy experts to conduct an updated literature search, which included systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomized controlled trials, and prospective and retrospective comparative observational studies published from 2016 through 2024. Outcomes of interest included survival, disease-free or recurrence-free survival, and quality of life.
Dendritic cells (DCs) are promising targets for cancer immunotherapies because of their central role in the initiation and control of immune responses. The rare cDC1 population is of particular interest because of its remarkable ability to cross-present antigens (Ag) to CD8+ T cells, to promote Th1 cell polarization and NK cell activation and recruitment. However, the spatial organization and specific functions of cDC1s in response to immunotherapy remain to be clearly characterized in human tumors.

These results have led to considerable discourse regarding the future role of surgery for PM, and there has not been unanimity in the mesothelioma surgical community regarding the trial interpretation. This "perspective" evaluates MARS2 using internationally renowned PM experts who either agreed with the trial interpretation or who found issues with its conduct which may have influenced the results.

The Intergroupe Francophone du Myélome phase 2 study iberdomide, ixazomib and dexamethasone (I2D) evaluated the oral triplet iberdomide, ixazomib and dexamethasone in MM patients aged ≥70 years at first relapse (NCT04998786). Seventy patients were enrolled to receive iberdomide (1.

The aim of this pilot study is to identify, in patients suffering from pain localized on the site of a previous osteoporotic fracture, the presence of neuropathic characteristics, their medical management, and their impact on quality of life. This pilot cross-sectional study on consecutive patients in University Hospital, Rheumatology Department, Clermont-Ferrand, France, was approved by the Ethics Committee (IRB number 2023-CF34).

Background: There is a lack of published data on real-world cabozantinib use in patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma after prior vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-targeted therapy.
Methods: CASSIOPE was a real-world, prospective, multicenter, non-interventional postauthorization safety study of cabozantinib in adult patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma in Europe following prior VEGF-targeted treatment (NCT03419572). Endpoints included cabozantinib utilization (dose modifications due to adverse events [AEs; primary endpoint], dose, dose modifications, and treatment duration), safety, effectiveness (progression-free survival [PFS], overall survival [OS], best overall response [BOR]), and healthcare resource utilization.

Corneal graft (keratoplasty) is the most common allograft in the world, but the imbalance between the number of donors and the number of patients waiting for transplants is abysmal on a global scale and varies enormously from one country to another. The risk of transmission of systemic diseases from donor to recipient is demonstrably low. In over 50 years and an estimated 2.

Exploring baseline outcomes for early-stage NSCLC with these rare mutations is crucial.
Objectives: This study aims to assess relapse-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients with resected early-stage NSCLC with rare targetable driver mutations.

Objectives: To summarise and evaluate Cochrane reviews of pharmacological therapies for adults with fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) pain.
Methods: Systematic search of Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews to May 2024. Generic quality assessment used AMSTAR-2 criteria, validity checks of potentially critical factors in evaluation of analgesic efficacy, and assessment of susceptibility of results to publication bias.
Background: Pulmonary embolism (PE) is an important cause of death and disability. Advances in catheter-directed therapies have led to the use of devices, such as the Inari FlowTriever and Penumbra Indigo system for aspiration thrombectomy (AT) for both massive and sub-massive PE. However, limited data exist on causes of procedural mortality.

However, scientists lack robust economic arguments and concepts in the area of nature-based solutions that are well aligned with the expectations of the agricultural sector. This study addresses this gap by developing an interdisciplinary economic framework that integrates nature-based solutions and allows for an assessment of their efficient use.

Background And Objectives: Laser skin therapy and intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy are both light-based treatments used for various skin concerns. They have been used since decades and each system have their own specificity, advantages, and drawbacks. However specific treatment is still not accessible with standard techniques due to difficulties having a source with both laser and IPL advantages.

This study aimed to describe the clinical features of hidrocystomas and evaluate the role of non-invasive imaging techniques, including dermoscopy, Line-field Confocal Optical Coherence Tomography (LC-OCT), Reflectance Confocal Microscopy (RCM), and Ultra-High-Frequency Ultrasound (UHFUS), in their diagnosis.
Methods: In total, seven cases of hidrocystomas were collected from the Dermatologic Clinic of the University of Siena, Italy.
