Introduction: Total hip arthroplasty with traditional stem joints, although bringing many benefits to patients indicated for hip replacement, faces many difficulties in reoperations in young patients due to the limited lifespan of the artificial joint. Recently, the short-stem joint was introduced to help overcome this problem. This study aims to evaluate the results of short-stem implants for primary total hip arthroplasty in Vietnamese adults.

Acupuncture has been shown to be effective in facilitating spontaneous urination and alleviating anxiety in patients experiencing poor urination. The present study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of electroacupuncture in the management of POUR in patients who have undergone lumbar spine surgery.

The study demonstrates the structural manipulation of the material by varying the reaction components within the solution. Morphology, structural analyses using SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), EDX (Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy), TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope), FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), XRD (X-ray diffraction), and XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy) unveiled the tunability of the material's structure based on the reaction components.

A retrospective study was conducted of adult patients (≥16 years old) diagnosed with NF at a hospital from 2017 to 2020. A quantitative comparative analysis for the COVID-19 group and control group between 2017 and 2019.

Species vulnerability to multiple threats, which affect provision of ecosystem services, is poorly understood. We conducted a region-wide, spatially explicit assessment of the vulnerability of 63 socioeconomically important tree species to overexploitation, fire, overgrazing, habitat conversion, and climate change.

Anaplastic astrocytomas are now classified as WHO grade III lesions, with imaging characteristics and prognosis between diffuse low-grade astrocytomas (WHO grade II) and glioblastomas (WHO IV). Anaplastic astrocytoma can appear mostly in the cerebrum followed by cerebellum.

The morphology of nanostructures with these high-efficiency electrodes was systematically compared with the morphology of ZnO structures with vertically aligned nanorod arrays (NA), hollow hemisphere arrays (HA), urchin-like (UL) nanorod arrays, and thin films (TF). The UV-vis light absorption, photoresponse (current-voltage characteristics in the dark and under light), and photoelectrochemistry of the electrodes were measured.

Nanocomposites of CuO and single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were synthesized using an arc-discharging graphite rod that contained copper wires. Simultaneous arc discharges produced a CuO-SWCNT composite network. The crystalline structure and morphology of the CuO-SWCNT composite films were investigated using XRD, Raman spectroscopy, FE-SEM and TEM.

The SWCNTs, indium tin oxide (ITO), and TiO2 mixtures of anatase (A) and rutile (R) are clearly distinguished in the HRTEM images. The thickness of the SWCNT was about 3 nm, and the TiO2 shell included different polycrystalline structures.

The structure and morphology of CeO(2) NRs were characterized by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The CeO(2) NRs films, deposited on indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrates through electrophoretic deposition, were used for the immobilization of glucose oxidase (GOx).

Five patients died, three from respiratory arrest and two from cardiogenic shock; one of these two patients had complete heart block that necessitated insertion of a pacemaker. Electrocardiographic abnormalities were detected by 24-hour monitoring in all 15 cases, even though most patients had no clinical signs of myocarditis.
