Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate linear measurements of the frontal sinus (FS) and sphenoid sinus (SS) for sex identification on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images.
Methods: A comparative CBCT analysis was conducted on 200 full field of view (FOV) scans taken as part of routine dental investigations. Dimensions of the bilateral frontal and sphenoid sinuses were measured.
Inspite of established symptomatic relief drug targets, a multi targeting approach is highly in demand to cure Alzheimer's disease (AD). Simultaneous inhibition of cholinesterase (ChE), β secretase-1 (BACE-1) and Dyrk1A could be promising in complete cure of AD. A series of 18 diaryl triazine based molecular hybrids were successfully designed, synthesized, and tested for their hChE, hBACE-1, Dyrk1A and Aβ aggregation inhibitory potentials.

Methods: Adult survivors of an AMI were retrospectively identified from the 2014 US Nationwide Readmissions Database. The impact of DM on the risk for a 6-month HFH was studied in subgroups of RFs using multivariable logistic regression to adjust for baseline risk differences.
Background: Diabetes affects most of the organs causing macrovascular and microvascular complications. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) results from the prolonged uncontrolled hyperglycemia which causes impairment of vision. Quality of life (QoL) of patients with DR is affected due to vision loss.

This condition commonly affects the skeletal system, pulmonary system, ocular system and the cardiovascular system. Surgical intervention is often needed to correct the various deformities affecting the patients to restore the function, improving the patient's aesthetic appearance and quality of life.

However, the same results have not been replicated in locally advanced breast cancer (LABC) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). We aim to examine the feasibility of SLNB in LABC patients post NACT to determine identification rates (IR) and false negative rates (FNR).

While dependence of CDK activity on cyclin levels is well established, molecular mechanisms that regulate their binding are less understood. Here, we report for the first time that CDK1:cyclin-B binding is not default but rather determined by the evolutionarily conserved catalytic residue, lysine-33 in CDK1.

Awareness of cytological features of these lesions is important to prevent misdiagnosis. A 45-year-old male, presented with slowly growing swelling over the thigh since 4 years.

Current practice relies more on cardiac-specific biochemical markers and standard echocardiography, but no gold standard test exists. The application of Tissue Doppler imaging is yet unexplored.

Aim: The aim of our prospective observational study was to elicit the outcomes and predictors of in-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation among adult patients.
Background: Development of oral cancer, a widely prevalent cancer in India, is multifactorial with increased risk in those habituated to smoking, consuming alcohol and chewing paan and tobacco. This does not preclude other etiological factors in the causation of this cancer. Exploratory studies on several oncogenic viruses have found varied associations with oral cancers.

Methods And Materials: In a retrospective study, for plan comparison, dose distribution was recalculated in 15 patients treated with 3D-CRT on the contoured structures of same CT images using an IMRT technique. 3D-conformal plans with three fields and four-fields were compared with seven-field dynamic IMRT plans.

The management of pain in palliative care of children is somewhat different from that in adults. The use of opioids in pediatric palliative care presents some unique challenges. Confident and rational use of opioids, illustrated by WHO Guidelines is essential for adequate management of pain in children with life limiting conditions.

Rigid thermocole boards with angulations, scales and support were designed as breast, pelvis and head positioning devices. Reproducibility and accuracy were tested by serial electronic portal imaging detector imaging.

One family member developed isolated facial weakness with mild mental retardation. This genetically proven FSHD family is reported because of its uncommon associations.
