In Indonesia, the over-exploitation and habitat degradation of its biodiverse freshwater fish populations, has led to an urgent need for conservation of endangered fish species. A review is conducted on sustainable captive breeding practices for native Indonesian freshwater fish, with emphasis placed on the importance of ex situ conservation strategies. The key components of captive breeding such as ecological and biological research in the field; capturing, handling, and transportation of fish; selection of genetically diverse breeding stock; care and quarantine measures; feed acclimatization; and creation of reproductive facilities have been discussed.

Nonetheless, Bangladesh's agricultural landscape is significantly influenced by papaya cultivation. However, disease is a common impediment to papaya productivity, adversely affecting papaya quality and yield and leading to substantial economic losses for farmers.

Realising the importance of historical data and the scarcity of data on historical places, this study presents a dataset collected from Panam City. Panam City, established in the late 1300s century, was the capital of the fifteenth-century Bengal ruler Isa Khan.

Freezing may compromise mRNA stability due to the presence of free radicals. Despite strong post-thaw motility and no visible DNA fragmentation, sperm can still exhibit altered gene expression patterns.

Methods: Forty-seven thin-tailed Indonesian sheep were selected for the study. Genotyping involved collecting blood samples, and sequencing exon 2 of the MTNR1A gene.
Protein kinase dysregulation induces cancer cell aggressiveness leading to rapid tumor progression and poor prognosis in TNBC patients. Many small-molecule kinase inhibitors have been tested in clinical trials to treat TNBC patients. In the previous study, we found that N-phenylpyrazoline small molecule acts as a protein kinase inhibitor in cervical cancer cells.

Identifying factors that influence banks in times of stability and crisis is crucial, as it ultimately contributes to developing an improved early warning system. This study undertakes a comparative analysis of the stability of Indonesian Islamic and conventional banking across distinct economic regimes-crisis and stability.

Pulmonary ionocytes are a newly discovered airway epithelial cell type proposed to be a major contributor to cystic fibrosis (CF) lung disease based on observations they express the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) anion channel at a higher level than any other cell type in the airway epithelia. Moreover, genetically manipulated experimental models that lack ionocytes develop NaCl transport abnormalities and airway surface liquid (ASL) dehydration consistent with CF. However, no direct evidence indicates ionocytes engage in NaCl transport or contribute to ASL formation, questioning the relevance of ionocytes to CF lung disease.

We report the yield of and risk factors for TB disease and infection for household contacts (HHCs) investigated using chest X-ray (CXR) screening. We identified HHCs aged five years and above of bacteriologically confirmed index cases from 2018 to 2022 in Yogyakarta City and Kulon Progo.

Green synthesis of nanoceria with Ag and Ni dopants resulted in doped nanoceria with lower catalytic activity and biologically-safe characteristics. The doped nanoceria was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Rancimat Instrument, and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer for SPF (Sun Protection Factor) determination.

Compared with disease burden rates in 1990, significant reductions in Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALYs) burden rates for CVD have been recorded. However, general DALYs rates have not changed in Indonesia in the past 30 years.

This article aims to review the latest literature on the melatonin receptor 1A (MTNR1A) gene as a potential candidate gene associated with reproductive traits, particularly the litter size trait in sheep, by searching various databases for available literature. Studies have shown that different parts of the MTNR1A gene play various roles in sheep.

The commonly used rigid electrodes have limitations in their skin-electrode contact quality since they cannot conform to the skin's surface area and body contours. Flexible electrodes have been developed to better conform to the body's surface contours, improving ion transfer and minimizing motion artifacts, thereby enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

These cytokines play a role in insulin resistance and the development of DM complications. People in Indonesia have used to treat diabetes, but the leaf of this plant has not been studied to see if it can reduce inflammation.
