Introduction: Bleeding from upper gastrointestinal tract is approximately five times more common than bleeding from lower gastrointestinal tract. The most common cause has been gastroduodenal ulcer disease, Esophageal varices, Mallory-Weiss tear.

Materials: It is an observational study carried out in General medicine department in GSL hospital in patients presented with history of vomiting of frank blood and/or passed dark coloured stools were chosen for this study with an aim to find out the prevalence of nature of lesion on Upper Gastro Endoscopy in patients admitted for UGI bleed and to find out the prevalence of nature of lesion.

Cerebral malaria and dengue are the common infections which cause higher mortality and morbidities in every part of the world especially in India. Concurrent infection of cerebral malaria and dengue is rare entity due to different habitat of vectors and it was reported rarely from Southeast Asia. In this case report, the authors reported a case of concurrent cerebral malaria and dengue which was recovered after eight days of admission with increase in morbidity.

Objective: To determine whether IV pyelography (IVP) is required routinely for all patients presenting to the ED with ureteral colic.

Methods: A randomized prospective study was conducted with 2 patient groups-a routine IVP group, in which all patients underwent IVP, and a selective IVP group, in which patients were treated, observed, and released without undergoing IVP unless they experienced continued symptoms. The study was performed in a large university-affiliated, community hospital ED.
