Background: The role of imaging in autoimmune encephalitis (AIE) remains unclear, and there are limited data on the utility of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to diagnose, treat, or prognosticate AIE.

Sustainable and highly economical iron-catalyzed chemoselective reduction of C═C of α,β-unsaturated ketones has been established under mild reaction protocols. We present our computational implementation of the spin-flip (SF) equation-of-motion (EOM) coupled-cluster (CC) method with singles, doubles, and (full) triples (SDT) within Q-CHEM. The inclusion of triples not only enhances the quantitative accuracy of the SF-EOM-CCSD method but also provides correct qualitative trends in the energy gaps between strongly degenerate states. To assess the accuracy, we compare our SF-EOM-CCSDT results with full configuration interaction (FCI) and complete-active-space self-consistent field second-order (CASSCF-SO) CI benchmarks to study the adiabatic energy gaps in CH and NH diradicals, vertical excitation energies in CH radicals and the bond dissociation of the HF molecule.

Objective: To identify the rate of successful antiseizure medication (ASM) withdrawal after resective surgery in patients with long-term epilepsy-associated tumors (LEATs).

Methods: A retrospective analysis (from our prospectively archived data) on the post-operative ASM profile of 123 consecutive patients who completed a minimum of 2 years after resection of LEATs for ASM-resistant epilepsy. A comparison between recurred and non-recurred groups in terms of seizure recurrence was used to identify the potential predictors of seizure recurrence whose attributes were further analyzed using univariate and multiple logistic regression analysis.

Sustainable release of drug by utilizing β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) based inclusion complex (IC) is the prime objective of the present work. Herein, polyacrylamide/dextran containing carbon quantum dots (PAM/Dex/CQD) nanocomposite hydrogels are prepared by in situ polymerization of acrylamide. The incorporation of CQD triggers the change in orientation of the PAM/Dex polymeric chains to result the formation of stacked surface morphology of the hydrogel.
