Green surfactant (GS) flooding, an environmentally friendly chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (cEOR) method, is explored in this molecular dynamics (MD) simulation study. This study evaluates the ability of ()-2-dodecanamido-aminobutanedioic as a GS for cEOR, assessing its performance with hexane (C6), dodecane (C12), and eicosane (C20) as representative oils. In the case of the bulk system, a comprehensive molecular-level investigation provides structural details such as the radial distribution function, solvent-accessible surface area, GS adsorption dynamics, diffusivity, and emulsion stability of the GS, oil, and water systems.

Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate usability and user feedback of a pioneering telepharmacy application known as Tanya Obat (translating to "Ask about Medications") in Indonesia, from the perspectives of the general population and pharmacists.
Methods: A mixed-methods sequential study was conducted with the early-stage Tanya Obat application in Bandung City.
Fungal keratitis (FK) is a fungal infection of the cornea, which is part of the eye and causes corneal ulcers and an increased risk of permanent blindness, which is often found in species. Amphotericin B (AMB), which is a group of polyenes as the first-line treatment of FK, is effective in annihilating . However, AMB preparations such as eye drops and ointments have major drawbacks, for instance, requiring more frequent administrations, loss of the drug by the drainage process, and rapid elimination in the precornea, which result in low bioavailability of the drug.

The present study was designed to investigate the political interactions of Kiai of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in the national political arena and its current impact on the Indonesian Muslim community. The data were garnered through interviews and focus group discussions with Kiai and related parties. The results of the study suggest that the political orientation of the Kiai of NU in Indonesia is oriented to pragmatism and oriented to piety idealism in politics based on Islamic ethics.

One of the drugs used as the first-line therapy for erectile dysfunction is sildenafil citrate (SC). Unfortunately, SC was commonly found in oral, injection, and transdermal dosage forms with some limitations, mainly related to low oral bioavailability caused by the occurrence of first-pass metabolism in the liver, and poor patient comfort and compliance.

While some patients regard self-medicating as harmless, it is far from being a safe practice. The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices toward self-medicating eye symptoms in Saudi Arabia.

The success of clinical intervention among patients with keratoconus is widely determined by randomized clinical trials, and despite associated difficulties, such trials may improve vision and quality of life. Aim This study aimed to assess the willingness of patients with keratoconus in Saudi Arabia to undergo clinical trials.

Background: Social distancing and mass quarantines were implemented worldwide in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Prior research has shown that such measures bear negative consequences for population mental health and well-being. Conversely, a growing body of evidence suggests that feeling positively identified with a group is associated with physical and mental health benefits.

Materials And Methods: The presence of endocrine cells (glucagon, somatostatin, and serotonin) in the digestive tract (esophagus, stomach, and intestine) was detected using the avidin-biotin complex (ABC) method.
Results: Three types of endocrine cells immunoreactive to antisera glucagon, serotonin, and somatostatin were found in the caudal portion of the small and large intestines but were not observed in the esophagus, stomach, and caput and medial sections of the small intestine.
The Roma have been and still are a target of prejudice, marginalization, and social exclusion across Europe, especially in East-Central European countries. This paper focuses on a set of stereotypical, emotional, and behavioral evaluative responses toward Roma people selected as representing the underlying components of anti-Roma bias. Employing network analysis, we investigated if attitude strength is associated with stronger connectivity in the networks of its constituent elements.

Bio-briquettes is made from cashew nutshell waste obtained from Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is followed by pyrolysis, which is carried out in a simple batch type reactor by heating using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Although prior research has investigated the health consequences of exposure to police violence (EPV), EPV's relationship with protesters' mental health has not yet been examined. Therefore, we designed a cross-sectional study which included measures of self-reported EPV, depression, and post-traumatic stress symptoms.

Background Medicinal plants are known to perform many pharmacological actions due to their chemical metabolites, which include antiviral effects. Previously, the extract of Ruta angustifolia was shown to have potential anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV) activity without any cytotoxicity, with a 50% inhibitory concentration of 3.0 μg/mL and a 50% cytotoxicity concentration of >100 μg/mL.

Spontaneous aggregation of these comb-like polybenzoxazine molecules into a single micelle occurs in the simulations. The simulations show that molecular size and concentration play important roles in micellar morphology.

A novel platform of anionic polymeric surfactants, poly(4HBA-oca(-)Na(+)), poly(4HBA-dea(-)Na(+)), and poly(4HBA-doa(-)Na(+)), has been synthesized by polymerizing benzoxazine monomers that are synthesized by reacting an aliphatic amine of variable chain length (C8, C10 and C12), with 4-hydroxybenzoic acid and paraformaldehyde. The structures of the monomers and polymeric surfactants are confirmed by NMR and FTIR. The ring-opening polymerization and thermal behavior of the benzoxazine monomers are studied by DSC and TGA.
