Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of antibiotics is particularly important in populations with high pharmacokinetic variabilities, such as critically ill patients, leading to unpredictable plasma concentrations and clinical outcomes. Here, we i) describe an original method for the simultaneous quantification of ten antibiotics (cefepime, ceftazidime, ampicillin, piperacillin/tazobactam, cefotaxime, amoxicillin, cloxacillin, oxacillin, linezolid) using 5-sulfosalicylic acid dihydrate (SSA) solution for protein precipitation together with 2D-LC-MS/MS, and ii) evaluate its impact in a one-year retrospective study. The study aimed to evaluate the tolerance, performance and effect on hair lipids and skin hydration of a protocol combining applications of one shampoo and subsequent mousses containing plant extracts (Ophytrium and Seboliance) in dogs with an undiagnosed chronic greasy keratinisation disorder. Background: Perineuronal nets (PNNs) are specialized extracellular matrix structures mainly found around fast-spiking parvalbumin (FS-PV) interneurons. In the adult, their degradation alters FS-PV-driven functions, such as brain plasticity and memory, and altered PNN structures have been found in neurodevelopmental and central nervous system disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, leading to interest in identifying targets able to modify or participate in PNN metabolism. Delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) is one of the main prognosis factors for disability after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). The lack of a consensual definition for DCI had limited investigation and care in human until 2010, when a multidisciplinary research expert group proposed to define DCI as the occurrence of cerebral infarction (identified on imaging or histology) associated with clinical deterioration. We performed a systematic review to assess whether preclinical models of SAH meet this definition, focusing on the combination of noninvasive imaging and neurological deficits.

Small bowel diaphragm disease is a rare condition usually associated with the prolonged use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) and that can be mistaken and treated as other pathologies. The tumor microenvironment in chondrosarcoma (CHS), a chemo- and radio-resistant cancer provides unique hallmarks for developing a chondrosarcoma targeted drug-delivery system. Tumor targeting could be achieved using a quaternary ammonium function (QA) as a ligand for aggrecan, the main high negative charged proteoglycan of the extracellular matrix of CHS, and a 2-nitroimidazole as trigger that enables hypoxia-responsive drug release.
