Results: A total of 9 children were enrolled, with a median age of onset of median 11 (2-15) years, 6 males and 3 female.
Phragmites australis is a globally distributed grass species (Poaceae) recognized for its vast biomass and exceptional environmental adaptability, making it an ideal model for studying wetland ecosystems and plant stress resilience. However, genomic resources for this species have been limited. In this study, we assembled a chromosome-level reference genome of P.

Methods: Data from 95 patients with UDCFs (Neer II and V types) were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 55 cases were treated with clavicular hook plates (control group), and 40 cases with Endobutton plates (research group).
Objective: To investigate the effect of group guided training management on disease cognition and fear of disease progression, nutritional status, and quality of life in patients undergoing chemotherapy for head and neck tumors.
Methods: A total of 88 patients diagnosed with malignant head and neck tumors who were admitted to Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 2020 to February 2021 were included as the subjects of this study. Patients receiving standard care were set as the control group (n=43), and patients undergoing group education were set as the study group (n=45).
Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is an acquired autoimmune bullous disease that often occurs in elderly patients. Some BP patients with early age of disease onset were observed to have difficulty in receiving applicable disease control. It remains challenging for clinicians to choose the appropriate treatment for these patients.

However, current lineage tracing in humans relies on extremely rare somatic mutations, which has limited temporal resolution and lineage accuracy. Here, we developed a generic lineage-tracing tool based on frequent epimutations on DNA methylation, enabled by our computational method MethylTree.

Objectives: To explore the mechanism that mediate the therapeutic effect of quercetin on heart failure.
Methods: We searched the TCMSP and Swiss ADME databases for the therapeutic targets of quercetin and retrieved heart failure targets from the Genecards and OMIM databases. The intersecting targets were analyzed with GO and KEGG pathway analysis using DAVID database, and the key genes were identified PPI analysis.
Currently, no approved antiviral drugs target dengue virus (DENV) infection, leaving treatment reliant on supportive care. DENV vaccine efficacy varies depending on the vaccine type, the circulating serotype, and vaccine coverage. We investigated defective interfering particles (DIPs) and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) to deliver DI290, an anti-DENV DI RNA.

Methods: A total of 28 Grade 4 undergraduate dental students were randomly divided into two groups: a virtual simulation priority group and a conventional phantom-head priority group. The virtual simulation priority group underwent virtual simulation training initially, followed by conventional phantom-head training.
China witnessed an Omicron COVID-19 outbreak at the end of 2022. During this period, medical crowding and enormous pressure on the healthcare systems occurred, which might result in the occurrence of occupational burnout among healthcare workers (HCWs). This study aims to investigate the prevalence of occupational burnout and associated mental conditions, such as depressive symptoms, anxiety, PTSD symptoms, perceived social support, resilience, and mindfulness among HCWs of the Chinese mainland during the Omicron COVID-19 outbreak, and to explore the potential risk and protective factors influencing occupational burnout of HCWs.

However, the aquaculture industry faces challenges such as trait degradation, early sexual maturity, and disease susceptibility, necessitating advanced genomic interventions for sustainable cultivation. This study presents the first chromosomal-level genome assembly of H.

Here, we investigated the transcriptional regulation of in the hypothalamus. In mice, we show that the homeodomain transcription factor Orthopedia (OTP) is enriched in MC4R neurons in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus and directly regulates transcription.

Bacterial-fungal interaction (BFI) has significant implications for the health of host plants. While the diffusible antibiotic metabolite-mediated competition in BFI has been extensively characterized, the impact of intercellular contact remains largely elusive. Here, we demonstrate that the intercellular contact is a prevalent mode of interaction between beneficial soil bacteria and pathogenic filamentous fungi.

Heatstroke is a life-threatening systemic condition characterized by a core body temperature >40°C and the subsequent development of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. Lung injury is a well-documented complication of heatstroke and is usually the secondary cause of patient death.

We conducted two experiments (N = 20 each) and compared responses to both "real" optic flow stimuli containing information about self-movement in a three-dimensional scene and "unreal" optic flow stimuli lacking such information. We found that detection sensitivity to contraction surpassed that to expansion patterns for unreal optic flow stimuli, whereas this trend was reversed for real optic flow stimuli.

We comprehensively compare the diagnostic performance of amide proton transfer-weighted (APTw) MRI and its related metrics in glioma diagnosis, in the context of the latest classification.
Materials And Methods: Totally 110 patients with adult-type diffuse gliomas underwent APTw imaging.
Importance: Osteoporotic fractures are associated with psychological distress, subsequent fractures, loss of independence, reduced ability to perform activities of daily living, and death.
Objective: The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) commissioned a systematic review to evaluate the evidence on the benefits and harms of screening for osteoporosis to prevent fractures in adults 40 years or older with no known diagnosis of osteoporosis or history of fragility fracture.
Population: Adults 40 years or older without known osteoporosis or history of fragility fractures.
