With the continued relevance of drug hydrates in pharmaceutical sciences, a comprehensive understanding of hydrate and anhydrate forms is essential, not only through individual case studies but also from a broader, systematic perspective. The Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) is a well-established database for crystal structures of organic molecules and here, the structural features of pharmaceutically relevant compounds forming hydrates were explored. Drug anhydrate and hydrate subsets were generated and further classified into separate anhydrate and hydrate sets for free drug, cocrystal/solvate, salt, multicomponent cocrystal/solvate, and salt cocrystal/solvate systems.

Ultrafiltration (UF) is increasingly used in the pretreatment of shale gas produced water (SGPW), whereas severe membrane fouling hampers its actual operation. In this work, ferrate(VI)-based oxidation was proposed for membrane fouling alleviation in SGPW pretreatment, and the activation strategies of calcium peroxide (CaO) and ultraviolet (UV) were selected for comparison. In this study, a stepwise oxidation system of potassium ferrate (KFeO) combined with ozone (O) was used to degrade ciprofloxacin (CIP). The effects of pH and pre-oxidation time of KFeO on the evolution of KFeO reduction products (iron (hydr)oxides) and CIP degradation were investigated. Tire wear particles (TWPs) are widely distributed in natural water and pose as major pollutants in aquatic environments. In this study, heat-activated persulfate (HPT) and ultraviolet-activated persulfate treatments (UPT) were employed to investigate the influence of sulfate radical (SO•)-based advanced oxidation process (SAOPs) on TWP physicochemical properties and to clarify their ecotoxic effects in laboratory-level studies. The Tujia is the eighth most populous population in China, but its genetic structure has not been fully studied. In this study, we utilized 57 autosomal Insertion/deletion (InDel) loci to evaluate the genetic polymorphisms and efficiency of forensic applications in the Chinese Hubei Tujia group, and analyzed the genetic structure variances among the studied group and other 26 different reference populations from five continents in 1000 Genomes Project (1KG). The results showed that 57 InDels have no significant deviations from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium and linkage equilibrium.
