Localized bladder amyloidosis is a rare disorder mimicking bladder tumor, with merely over 200 reported cases. Here, we report a case of a 67-year-old female presented with painless gross hematuria. A positive Congo red staining of the cystoscopy biopsy raised suspicion of bladder amyloidosis, and transurethral resection of the mass was performed.

For 43 IMRT plans, the set-up errors were determined from 43 sets of EPID images and 258 sets of cone beam computed tomography images. In-house developed Edose software was used to reconstruct the dose distribution using the pre-treatment and on-treatment (in vivo) EPID acquired fluence maps.

We attempted to establish a visualization model to shed further light upon this topic. Consequently, a total of 436 patients who were tested for VTE following urologic surgeries were retrospectively enrolled.

Dual-atom catalysts (DACs) have garnered significant attention for their superior activity, selectivity, and stability compared to single-atom catalysts (SACs). However, a comprehensive review that integrates geometric and electronic factors influencing DAC performance remains limited.

Rational drug development would be impossible without selecting the appropriate formulation route. However, pharmaceutical scientists often rely on limited personal experiences to perform trial-and-error tests on diverse formulation strategies. Such an inefficient screening manner not only wastes research investments but also threatens the safety of clinical volunteers and patients.

They are severely threatened by marine petroleum-based pollution but the molecular mechanism involved remains unclear. We evaluated the toxic effects and mechanisms of sub-acute exposure to benzo[a]pyrene (BaP), a representative polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH), at three environmental related dosages (0.

Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) was used to identify prognosis-related cell types, and DNA methylation (DNAm)-based models were developed to predict outcomes based on their cellular characteristics.
Methods: We integrated scRNA-seq, bulk data, and clinical information to identify key cell populations associated with prognosis.

Rhabdomyolysis (RM)-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) involves the release of large amounts of iron ions from excess myoglobin in the kidneys, which mediates the overproduction of reactive species with the onset of iron overload via the Fenton reaction, thus inducing ferroptosis and leading to renal dysfunction. Unfortunately, there are no effective treatments for AKI other than supportive care. Herein, we developed a multifunctional nanoplatform (MPD) by covalently bonding melanin nanoparticles (MP NPs) to deferoxamine.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTumor necrosis factor (TNF) has been recognized as an immune activation factor in tumor immunotherapy. Our study demonstrated that TNF blockade markedly enhanced the antitumor efficacy of oncolytic adenovirus (AdV) therapy. To minimize systemic side effects, we engineered a recombinant oncolytic AdV encoding a TNF inhibitor (AdV-TNFi) to confine TNF blockade within the tumor microenvironment (TME).

Diabetic ulcers (DUs) are a common and severe complication of diabetes, characterized by impaired wound healing due to a complex pathophysiological mechanism. Elevated levels of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type I (11β-HSD1) in wounds have been demonstrated to modulate glucocorticoid activity, leading to delayed skin cell proliferation and restricted angiogenesis, ultimately hindering wound healing. In this study, we propose an electrospun poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) nanofiber scaffold doped with the 11β-HSD1 inhibitor BVT2733 (BPs) to prevent 11β-HSD1 activity during the diabetic wound healing process.

Strigolactones (SLs), a class of phytohormones, have been recognized as crucial regulators in plant responses to drought, yet the specific role of SL receptor in drought tolerance in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) remains underexplored.

However, their transient nature (∼milliseconds), high reactivity, and low abundance (nM-μM) in complex biological environments present significant challenges. Near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent probes have emerged as a promising solution for in vivo RNS imaging due to their enhanced sensitivity, spatiotemporal resolution, and deep tissue penetration.

To detect and analyze coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels in convalescent plasma from donors who have recovered from COVID-19. Plasma samples from 88 donors aged 20-54 years who were diagnosed with COVID-19 and who were eligible to donate from Zhejiang Province, China, were collected as the experimental group, and 56 samples from healthy blood donors were used as controls. Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies, including Ab and IgM, were detected via chemiluminescent immunoassay, and neutralizing antibodies were measured via the microneutralization method.

Objective: We conducted a meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) to evaluate the efficacy of PUFA prescription medication in preventing CVD.
Methods: Two reviewers conducted a literature search of Embase, MEDLINE/PubMed, and the Cochrane Library from their inception to September 2023.

Purpose: This study calculates the needed margin from clinical target volume (CTV) to planning target volume (PTV) in IMRT for cervical cancer. It also assesses the impact of setup errors on target and organ at risk (OAR) dose distribution.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 50 cervical cancer patients who underwent IMRT, with 210 CBCT scans.
Objective: The dose perturbation effect of immobilization devices is often overlooked in intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for gynecologic cancer. This retrospective study assessed the dosimetric effects of a prone immobilization device combined with a belly board (PIDBB) on the skin.
Methods: We recruited 63 women with gynecologic cancer undergoing postoperative IMRT at our institute.

The foundation of robot autonomous movement is to quickly grasp the position and surroundings of the robot, which SLAM technology provides important support for. Due to the complex and dynamic environments, single-sensor SLAM methods often have the problem of degeneracy. In this paper, a multi-sensor fusion SLAM method based on the LVI-SAM framework was proposed.

We conducted factorial experiments to assess the impacts of warming, including an increased diurnal temperature range (DTRinc), a symmetric increase in diurnal temperature range (DTRsys), a decreased diurnal temperature range (DTRdec) and phosphorus application (5 g and 10 g P m yr) on both intra- and inter-specific competition among plants. The results indicated that (1) the DTRsys for A.

The distribution and cut-off of acoustic modes are analyzed by introducing acoustic normalized frequencies. The dependence of the acoustic inner core radius, the acoustic velocities in the acoustic inner and acoustic outer core on acoustic modes, and Brillouin gain spectra (BGS) is investigated.
