Background: Glioma is a highly heterogeneous brain tumor with poor prognosis. This study aims to investigate the functional role of OTUB1 in glioma and its impact on TRAF4 stability, seeking potential therapeutic targets.

Methods: We mined single-cell sequencing data from 12 glioma patients to analyze the heterogeneity of 20,145 glioma cells.

Objective: The aim of this study is to explore the safety and efficacy of iodine-125 seeds interstitial brachytherapy (PISI-BT) for patients aged 80 and above with early primary high-risk non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC).

Methods: In this retrospective single-center study, we collected and analyzed data from patients ≥ 80 years of age with early primary high-risk NMSC treated with PISI-BT between December 2003 and May 2020. Survival status, efficacy, adverse effects (AEs), cosmetic outcomes, and treatment cost were analyzed (data cut-off: November 20th, 2021).

In this paper, a nonuniform projection distribution (NUPD) CT method is proposed for the region-of-interest-specific examination in the solitary lung nodule follow-up application in order to reduce redundant x-ray projections exposed on normal tissues. The method exploits personal previous lung CT scan information to design a nonuniform x-ray projection modulation scheme where x-rays are sparsely modulated over the areas outside of the nodule in each projection view. The nonuniform projection modulation scheme could obstruct 71.

Objective: To investigate the effects of desmoglein 3 (DSG3) gene mediating epidermal growth factor/epidermal growth factor receptor (EGF/EGFR) signaling pathway on inflammatory response and immune function of anaphylactic rhinitis (AR).

Methods: Ten of the seventy male BALB/c mice were randomly selected as the normal control group, and the remaining 60 were used to construct the AR mice model. AR model mice were divided into 6 groups: model group (instilled with 5 μL saline), empty vector group (instilled with 5 μL of liposome and empty vector mixture), siRNA-DSG3 group (instilled with 5 μL of liposome and siRNA-DSG3 carrier mixture), AG1478 group (instilled with 5 μL of EGF/EGFR inhibitor AG1478), siRNA-DSG3+AG1478 group (instilled with 5 μL of liposome and siRNA-DSG3 carrier and EGF/EGFR inhibitor AG1478 mixture) and oe-DSG3 group, 10 in each group.

Field first-aid data from the Wenchuan Earthquake in China was analyzed retrospectively in order to probe into ways to develop field first-aid operations and provide a reference for future emergency rescue. Related documents about the Wenchuan Earthquake were collected and reviewed. The state of injury and leading causes of death during the disaster were identified.

Object: A selective-excitation radiofrequency (RF) pulse that uses hard pulses composed of a sequence of composite pulses with positive and negative phases (P/N pulse) is proposed herein. Because the amplitude of the RF signal is unchanged during the excitation, RF amplification can be accomplished using a nonlinear RF power amplifier (i.e.

In this article, our study of non-contact method via radar for monitoring the heart and respiratory rates of human subject is reported. The system is constructed which synchronously detects the electrocardiogram signals by the electrocardiograph and the ballistocardiogram signals by the non-contact life parameter detecting technology. Also, the detected signals are analyzed respectively in the time and frequency domain.

This paper proposes a new way for ultrasound color flow velocity estimation and display. This method sets up a mapping table which directly relates to the dynamic range of the velocity display by using an inverse mapping instead of calculating the arctangent value directly. This method is ideal for software implementation and offers an interactive way to user for changing the dynamic range of flow velocity to increase the display resolution.

A powerful graphical pulse sequence programming tool has been designed for creating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) applications. It allows rapid development of pulse sequences in graphical mode (allowing for the visualization of sequences), and consists of three modules which include a graphical sequence editor, a parameter management module and a sequence compiler. Its key features are ease to use, flexibility and hardware independence.

The unknown acquisition delay problem caused by a digital receiver without external synchronization in NMR and MRI applications is discussed in detail. An effective procedure is suggested for overcoming the problem. The main features of the proposed method include minimal hardware modifications and highly efficient algorithms.

Purpose: We sought to compare calcium alginate film (CAF) with collagen membrane (CM) regarding their effects on guided bone regeneration.

Materials And Methods: Circular bone defects with 5-mm diameter were created in the region anterior to both mandibular angles in 34 rabbits. The defects on one side were covered with a CAF, and the contralateral side with CM.
