Objectives: Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) techniques are being studied as a possible diagnostic and predictive tool for the evaluation of cervical spinal cord disease. This systematic review aims to evaluate the previous DTI studies that specifically investigated the repeatability and reproducibility of DTI in the cervical spinal cord.

Methods And Materials: A search in the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science and Ovid electronic databases was conducted for articles published between January 1990 and February 2022 that related to the repeatability and reproducibility of DTI in evaluating the cervical spinal cord using one of the following measurements: the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and/or the coefficient of variation (CV), and/or Bland-Altman (BA) differences analysis methods.

Introduction: Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is the most common rheumatic disease in children and causes short- and long-term disability. Optimal management requires pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. Few studies have explored the youth and family experience of the management of JIA.

Introduction: Advanced stage malignancies of oral cavity commonly result in complex full thickness defects with subsequent functional and aesthetic loss. Through this article we describe our center's experience in reconstruction of such defects with bipaddled pectoralis myocutaneous (PMMC) flap through an immediate, single-staged procedure.

Materials And Methods: The study included a total of 54 patients who underwent composite resection and neck dissection followed by reconstruction of the defect with bipaddled PMMC flap.

Background: Breast sarcomas (BS) are rare cancers originating from mesenchymal breast tissue with a paucity of national population level data detailing their incidence and outcomes.

Methods: We performed an analysis of data collected by National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service (NCRAS) for patients diagnosed with BS between 2013 and 2018. Chi-square test was used to compare groups.

Gene therapy using an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector offers a new treatment option for individuals with monogenetic disorders. The major bottleneck is the presence of pre-existing anti-AAV antibodies, which impacts its use. Even very low titers of neutralizing antibodies (NAb) to capsids from natural AAV infections have been reported to inhibit the transduction of intravenously administered AAV in animal models and are associated with limited efficacy in human trials.

The purpose of this study is to assess the intention of typically developing peers towards learning in the classroom with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In developing countries, such as Ghana, the body of literature on the relationship between students with disabilities and typically developing peers has been sparsely studied. Using Ajzen's theory of planned behaviour as a theoretical framework for this study, 516 typically developing students completed four scales representing belief constructs, attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural controls (self-efficacy), hypothesised to predict behavioural intention.

Barriers to treatment faced by people living with HIV (PLWH) have been well explored in the literature. Despite the importance of antiretroviral therapy (ART) in the treatment of HIV and prevention of AIDS, in the Ghanaian context only about 32% of infected persons have access to treatment. This underscores a need to understand the experiences of PLWH receiving ART to provide baseline information for policymakers' efforts to increase access to treatment.

Local treatment plays a key role for patients' outcome in tumors of the urogenital tract in children. Despite a great variety of different etiologies, the specific localization of pediatric urogenital tumors renders several characteristic demands to the treating personnel. Surgery and radiotherapy are the main elements of local treatment in this group of neoplasms.

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus has assumed the status of an epidemic in the last century. High prevalence of diabetes in South Asian population and presence of other cardiovascular risk factors in this region, make up the relationship between coronary artery disease (CAD) and diabetes more pronounced. Keeping in view the high susceptibility of diabetic patients for CAD, these patients are recognized as a high risk group .

Myotonic dystrophy type 2 (MD2) is a multisystem disease, predominantly affecting the proximal limb muscles, eyes, endocrine organs, heart and intestines. Longterm asymptomatic creatine kinase (hyper-CKemia) of more than 20 years duration, in association with hyperlipidemia and diabetes, as a manifestation of MD2 has not been reported. A 52-year-old female with a history of hyper-CKemia since the age of 32 years associated with diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hyperuricemia, developed anginal chest pain and proximal muscle weakness together with clinical myotonia when opening the fists at age 51 years.

Hepatitis C virus infection causes chronic liver disease that leads to cancer-related mortality. Presently around 30% of the HCV (infected) affected population get rid of the infection through spontaneous disease clearance. This phenomenon is conducted by a set of reported immune candidate genes.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic disorders characterized by hyperglycemia. In particular, type 2 diabetes (T2D) represents one of the main causes of death in the world, and those suffering from it have a lower quality of life. Although there are multiple hypotheses about the pathophysiological mechanisms that lead to the development of T2D, the effects of this pathology on pancreatic β-cells are often ignored.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a trauma and stressor-related disorder that results in a prolonged stress response. It is associated with increased oxidative stress and inflammation in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) and hippocampus (HC). The only approved therapy for PTSD is selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs), but their efficacy is marginal.

This study aims to explore the relationship between impulsivity traits and perceived negative consequences of alcohol consumption and Internet use. More specifically, impulsivity traits - positive and negative urgency, sensation seeking, lack of premeditation, and lack of perseverance - in (1) the occurrence of initial negative consequences linked to use, and (2) the transition from consequences possibly indicating a problematic behavior to consequences very likely indicating a clinical problem. For this, 709 first-year college students were assessed using the UPPS-P impulsive behavior scale, and the Multicage CAD-4 scale for addictive behaviors.

The in vitro activities of 6 antimicrobial agents against clinical isolates of Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococci) were investigated and the erythromycin minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) were correlated with the two major macrolide resistance determinants, mef(A) and erm(B). MICs of commonly used antibiotics as well as the presence of macrolide resistance determinant genes in all isolates were tested. Seventy one pneumococcal isolates collected at Institute for Medical Research (IMR) were included in this study.
