The study assessed the effectiveness and safety of nerve block combined with low-dose general anaesthesia in elderly hip arthroplasty patients, conducted by a meta-analysis of RCTs. Six trials involving 403 patients were identified from databases such as Cochrane, MEDLINE, and PubMed. The results demonstrated a statistically significant difference in pain scores at postoperative 12hours (95% CI, -2.

However, its prognostic value in patients receiving neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) has not been sufficiently addressed.
Methods: From 2013 to 2023, a cohort of 692 patients with CRLM receiving hepatectomy were enrolled in five centers.

Assistive technology (AT) professionals are in pressing need with nowadays growing aged/disabled population, so as well-designed higher education programs in this field. This study designed and implemented a case-based active learning approach within an undergraduate course related to AT in Hong Kong, and assessed its impact on enhancing student engagement over two academic years. A total of twelve multimedia patient case dossiers on six major physical disabilities were created.

Therefore, finding efficient, green, and low-toxic fungicides is our primary task, which brings opportunities for the development of natural product green pesticides.
Results: Twenty chalcone derivatives containing 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline were designed and synthesized, and the compounds were tested for their fungicidal effects against eight plant pathogenic fungi in vitro.
Aim: To investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the influence of hypoxia and alpha-ketoglutaric acid (α-KG) on scleral collagen expression.
Methods: Meta-analysis and clinical statistics were used to prove the changes in choroidal thickness (ChT) during myopia. The establishment of a hypoxic myopia model (HYP) for rabbit scleral fibroblasts through hypoxic culture and the effects of hypoxia and α-KG on collagen expression were demonstrated by Sirius red staining.
Leukemia remains a fatal disease for most affected patients, and a simple and effective therapeutic strategy is urgently needed. Targeted delivery chemo-drugs to leukemia cells shows promise, but the diverse subtypes of leukemia make single-ligand nanomedicine often ineffective. Herein, a dual-aptamer decorated, reduction-responsive dimeric prodrug-based nanoparticle (NP), termed SXP-NPs, was developed using the two leukemia-specific aptamers Sgc8c and XQ-2d, a reduction-responsive podophyllotoxin (POD) dimeric prodrug, and DSPE-PEG2000.

Round ligament varicosities (RLV) are a very rare cause of an inguinal mass, which is very similar to an inguinal hernia, and should be taken seriously by women, especially in mid-pregnancy. Ultrasound can confirm the diagnosis of the RLV and can prevent unnecessary interventions. We report a case of a patient with bilateral RLV: the primigravida was 31 years old, GP, gestation 30w.
